Note you all you's people, they already clearly stated Gears 3 is only going to be the last game following delta squad (aka Marcus, Dom, n friends) but they may continue making other Gears of War games following other characters. Personally I want a story following the Carmines, if I remember correctly at least one of them is ultra bad ass.

in MY opinion, Dom wanted to die because he lost everything to the Locust. I would like to share my predicition. Something MAJOR is going to happen, in the instance of a sacrifice is needed to complete such action. Hence where Dom gives up his own life, because he lost his kids. OR Dom, has regained the will to the live and figures out a way around this problem. My money is more on the first. I threw in the latter to balance it out.
