It's written in the Constitution that you can arm yourself. I don't see the problem here, as long as you have your license. I know I want to exercise this right when I'm 21. A right is something that exists on its own, without intervention. Speaking your mind is something everyone has a right to do, because it must be taken away in order for it not to be there. Majority rule is natural, and voting is a way to ensure that this happens peacefully.

Defending yourself is also a right, until someone takes away your means to do so.

Healthcare is different. It isn't something that comes with being alive. It is given.

yeah i kinda messed up my response there. what i mean is that some things that are rights (or at least, in my view, should be) might require access to be provided by the state, vis a vis subsidies.

yeah i know how it sounds but my argument is not that radical, it just says that certain rights require money to be spent. for instance we subsidize the army to protect our right of security. i know it's controversial to call healthcare a right but i'm an idealist, what can i say :)
