First of all the key words here are "YouTube" practitioner with about a year of experience AND he's really not going agressive AND the girl has some knowledge of Jiu Jitsu cause' she was defending with actual Jiu Jitsu not instinct. If he wanted to he could just grab her and while she's punching him he could punch her twice as hard and I gaurantee he would knock her out with 2-3 puches! This video is a joke. However anyone who says Karate is BS Machida got the LHeavy weight championship.Nufsaid

videos do help alot, but without proper instruction its just not the same, when i started off youtube vids were gona be my little secret so i practiced them alot, but pulling it off in live rolling without solid fundementles is a bitch, not that videos are innefective, just that they should supplement actual instruction not be your only means of it

This is like watching Jackass with someone who is just less entertaining. She wasn't just being humane, she was being a sweetheart and just played around the whole time. She threw uppercuts (in HUGE boxing gloves!!!) just to keep him away at her boobs...to little effect. He managed to nuzzle his bum ass in to her face anyway. What a sweetheart...letting him learn his lesson with more TLC than anyone else in the world would allow.

Ive learned a LOT from videos(the Gracie Combative DVD)

I didnt know jack shit until I watched and trained to that DVD.

Granted, the students training have to be "smart"...otherwise they wont learn.

But trust me, im one of those people who REALLY takes in EVERY detail from even a video...more so than a live demonstration.

The only thing lacking is experiencing the "feel" of the moves performed by a master.

But still, im learning. And thats all that matters.

in the end, yeah. it is ideal to learn at a gym.

but training from watching videos is still a great alternative because you can rewind and catch all the little details....kind of like asking the teacher to show you the technique again.

its also like having a personal instructor...the benefits of that are pretty self explanatory.

the important thing is that youre watching the right videos that give the right amount of info.

for this, i absolutely recommend the gracie combative DVD

well, yeah. but they do show you all the little mistakes that most people do and they show each and every technique multiple times in both real speed and slow motion from all angles.

as i said before, im someone who tends to pick up on every minute detail as best i can so i think im ok.

but still, of course it would be more ideal to learn at a gym.

but im really enjoying learning from the gracie combatives dvd...its just a small hobby of mine anyway, nothing too serious.
