Insignia has actually been a lot better than Caltraps for me. There's just not many situations I get into where the Caltraps will let me win without question and Insignia wouldn't. With the introduction of Bestor, Wei-Shan, and one of the robots (the one with terrible base accuracy), Yoshiro is no longer someone I would consider very strong. Or Balthazar. He's remained largely unchanged since beta... But he can get creamed now. Still disagree that Caltraps beats Insignia.

I find it pretty telling that you don't have a single example in the vid where caltrops matters and one situation where insignia would have been huge.
@GabrielKorp actually the last vid before me beating the insignia user shows it well. And i did not end up killing people with it in the time frame where was filming, but it is an item i definately find useful for him.
@KongRawder Missed that one, but it actually shows the downside of caltrops since a decent player would just have dealt 60 damage back instead of killing his own Anex. Insignia allows Yoshi to finish characters at higher hp without getting hit himself, helps against the character that comes in afterwards and makes the deck more flexible. I can see caltrops being an interesting choice for specific decks, but in general insignia is simply better (pun intended).
@Merawder1 Well it's the most common item for a reason, although I personally tend to have Yoshi in the sort of decks where scroll is preferable (for range control). Btw, since you like caltrops, have you tried yellow rock?
