  • woo ashenvale

  • I remember me being such a noob. Late orgiginal wow and early bc was absolutly the best time in wow. Half my gaming time in low level I just ran around exploring, listening to the amazing soundtracks and not giving a fuck about lvl up fast, make gold, buy ingame mounts and pets with irl money and show of how good I am.

I simply enjoyed the game like no other. Now it's all gone, except the memories.

  • WHY BLIZZARD WHY?!!! :'(((

  • wanna play wotlk again? just google molten-wow, 20k players online, perfect retail feeling, and its free ^^

  • WOTLK♥ .... :'(

  • @Metalema666 Thats from the original WoW dude, not Wotlk. This song disapeared when cata came out , sadly:(

  • @3Carnifex Are you sure that it disapeared? I hear the old music in many zones after the cataclysm.

  • @Perais1337 I havent heard it anywhere except in Dire Maul entrance once since cata came out , it used to play in alot of zones , especially night elves zones ,i kept hearing it in the original WoW's World , maybe it still plays in some other cata zones, but i havent heard it since then unfortunately:(

  • @3Carnifex The old Music is so good, it can´t disapear xD

  • Oh Auberdine... I miss you so much.

  • @meh23p I had so many memories with my first character in Auberdine. I feel your pain :(

  • @AuntJemima46 i know man this song is so nostalgic... i miss auberdine... playing my night elf as a newbie? exploring the world ahh what wonderful adventures

  • @exterminate98 Aburdine at night, geez there was no more beautiful place.

I remember that I just sat down at the beach with my nightelf, listening to this music and looking out at the ocean, the stars and the moon. Damn I have to find a place like that irl, the music i'll bring with me :D

  • I miss WotLk :(

  • I would love to have a Time-Machine and a Random World of Warcraft Amnesia device, forget about Warcraft, go back to Vanilla Warcraft and run around like a noob in the Human Warrior starter gear gaping in awe! :D

  • makes me miss the old auberdine.. i can even remember the first time i was there.. .-. .. i started fishin :>

  • no it wasnt where was it!

  • @qaertjros You can still hear it at the entrance to Dire Maul.

  • WAS THIS ASHENVALE..

  • @qaertjros Teldrassil

  • Reminds me of Auberdine. I definitely prefer the old questing experience - Cataclysm simply eroded away at the things that made WoW magical in favour of making everything linear. :(

  • where have i heard this?? Its from one of the elven race right?

  • @vampgal2cute You can still hear it at the entrance to Dire Maul.

  • I havent played wow for quite a long time now...i had to stop because of my badish internet connection when i moved house, the fun factor wasnt high enough with so much lags

  • I NEED TO PLAY IT AGAIN!!!

  • i wish the forests of ashenvale and teldrassil were real i would totally wonder them with this angelic theme in the background

  • @LightGenesis1 one day your dream will come true. Trust me

  • brings memories.. love the quest For Love Eternal with cerellean whiteclaw and anaya x[

  • this is really angelic! I saldomly visit Auberdine just to hear this song and walk at the forest...

  • and now auberdines going to die :(

  • @babyfluffee yes its a shame

  • classic song, played wow since 2004 loved it since day one.

  • by far one of the best songs on the game, just brings back good memories, whatever they may be.

  • This is the song played when you enter Auberdine. So much memories!:)

  • I remember my first Undead Warlock. I entered Hillsbrad, the place was beautiful. Tarren mill quests were fantastic! And that one quest...They told me to go to the interment camp in Alterac Mountains. I entered Alterac Mountains... The wind in my headphones. Then I saw this big crater. I was like: Holy shit what is this!? It was Dalaran Crater. I remember Dala from W3. And then i heard this music... It was stunning

  • This was the old Temple of the Moon music. Now it got replaced by some piece of shit.

  • @ragnarokvr1 A piece of shit that's better than this track.

  • Oh god...

I remember when i was new. Oh what a feeling!

Creating my char an i was hooked.

this music and everything makes me feel like i felt so long ago

  • Definately brings memories back. The best memory I have from my first time WoW was listening to the Elwynn Forest Music in the background, sitting on the rocks near the Lakehouse, and just talking. We did that almost every day. But I don't remember what happened after.

  • Soo many memories gooze it brings my back (Cry)

  • I miss TBC, when I would just run around the Barrens killing random Raptors :(.

  • yea, there was that magic feeling the first time, I played it at my friend then and it was magical, now I have played for three years and I'm used to it. the only way to get that 'magical' feeling back would be if I did something to lose three years memories D:

  • four years ago that game was so great , and now ? .. .____.

  • "Stan, i have never been able to say this before but i love you son"

    "I know you do that"

    "Ahhhh Arhhhhh"

  • @Remi1115 Just watched the episode seconds ago, one of the best songs on the soundtrack. And of course, one of, if not the best SP episode of all time:)

  • @MrQueenie

    Yep.

  • @Remi1115 It's 'I know you do, DAD' :P

  • @Remi1115 lmao i just saw that and have looked through half of this games bloody soundtrack looking for it haha :)

  • Comment removed

  • @Remi1115 LMAO gotta love Randy X-D

  • @Remi1115 whaha best part of the entire episode tbh :P

  • @Remi1115 Dont like to burst ur bubble hun but its "I know that you do dad"

  • @Remi1115 haha yeah did u knew that episode still rankes #1 in holland?

  • @gerillamotherf

    I'm from Holland :) .

  • @Remi1115 cool wist je dat dan?

  • @gerillamotherf

    Yep.

  • @Remi1115 Stann....STAAAANNN.....

  • @jolika03: Yeah I agree..Once you are in vanilla..What are you gonna do now..? Raid? You go do some raids..Oh wait..You know what to do..No nervousness or confusion, you'll soon be saying 'What the hell? It's just like WotLK..' Now you know..It's the first time feeling you want so badly..Not the very old WoW

  • You have just earned Achievement: [Make Love, Not Warcraft]!

  • Epics may last an expansion, but friendship lasts a lifetime.

  • Night Elf Moon Temple in Darnassus

  • lol on southpark

  • it feels like im floating when i hear this..

  • @Jelllyne Heathryna ne rogue on Azuremyst

  • @Jelllyne goodness ur in the know i had no idea there was already a name for the expansion after cata....whats ur toon btw?

  • @Jelllyne

i was thinking of that. Its gonna suck cause Ashenvale is my get away right now. I love the scenery and the music. But it will be all gone with cata, which sucks.

  • @Jelllyne i hope that doesnt last forever.....

  • What got me to play WoW was the South Park Episode when Stan was holding his dad just b4 his toon died, the moment this song played i was like "i got to get this game!"

  • @TiaJaHuntress I know exactly what you mean. Once you start one character, you try to regain that feeling of grandeur and wonder that first set upon you as you stepped into the world of Azeroth... but you never could truly relive that feeling ever again...

  • I hear Really alot ppl saying : i miss the magic feeling first time exploring wow,

so that's why blizzard made the Cataclysm, Redesigning alot, and giving ppl the magic feeling back, so lets wait just a few months till cataclysm.

Then we play hours and hours in heaven again!

  • @Mrmartes1 You are completely... right! :)

In Cataclysm Blizzard has not been focusing in making the raid/dungeon content bigger&better.

Instead Blizzard has focused on remaking the first-time experience of wow. In short they have focused nearly 100% on the leveling content. Making it as beautiful and epic as they possibly could. I do hope that they will do like they did in WotLK regarding quests. Stuff the quests with Lore :)

Imo Lore is the thing that makes this game. Not the raids:)

  • @Mrmartes1 Cataclysm isn't as good as i thougt :(

  • @RecGk no indeed, i played it a few weeks, i really liked it. but since i had 2 characters from lvl 1 to 85 it became less fun, and stopped after 3 months cataclysm came out.

  • I played it ever since it came out in 04, gosh has it been that long!?

  • Comment removed

  • Cataclysm is all about re-experiencing azeroth all over. :)

  • I love this. I can imagine that when I'm an old man and and I start listening to this music again it will be like: Holy Shit - where is this from? Childhood memories. :)

  • I hate it when people call you a noob. (Ive played for years so Im trying to say this in a modest manner but I think im not a noob anymore im experienced) but I actually defend the noobies because one time or anyother the accuser was a noob once too.

  • @Sangrie1 No. Noob is a relative characteristic. On the first day no one is a noob since noone knows more than the other. And those days were the most beautiful, just like this song that makes me cry.

  • @drag00re

Fair enough point. :) I was just presenting my views. =)

  • Comment removed

  • This is so beautifully arranged ;<

I remember the first time I got to Auberdine, flying over the sea between Teldrassil and Darkshore for the first time.

Such a huge contrast to see ghostlike Darkshore right after Teldrassil, and then that moonwell in the middle of Auberdine. I miss it. ;<

  • I would really like to play on roleplay servers.. Would bring sooo much more depth to the game.. :) Like someone said before, WoW is just all about farming Emblems to get gear.. -.-

Too bad I play on private servers.. there is no roleplaying.. :/

  • I love this one...very nice music sounds so positive

  • I've tried the "first time" feeling with other MMOs... I didn't get :\

The thing with WoW, was that it was the first actual MMO that a lot of people had tried. (I think, correct me if I'm wrong) it was definately my first MMO. I no longer play that type of game.

  • Ah, I'm sure all of you miss your old WoW days, I started mine in the ending of TBC, and somewhere close to WotLK, I was just questing a long, having fun. Exploring places. Talking to strangers.. Ah the good ol' days..Now it's just raiding and gear.. Shame on Blizzard for letting the good times go.. :'(

  • When entering Auberdine

  • I remember my first character... Troll warrior. Everything I saw it was like: WOOOW

  • Shtaaan..!

I've never been able to say this before but... I love you, my son!

    I know you do, dad!

    AARGHH!! AAAAAARGHGHH!!! UWAAHH! UWAAAAGH...!!

We did it! Our world is saved!

  • @Arceusvids

    South Park FTW

  • OMG IV BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS TUNE FOREVER!!!

    this is auberdine right?

  • @Girliemeltem

This used to be the temple of the moon in

Darnassus. Now it's some bullshit song.

  • @ragnarokvr1 Oh really well i like the music of the temple of the moon better :) you hear this soundtrack when you arive at auberdine n_n its so pretty

  • @Girliemeltem ahhh auberdine good times, good times.

  • @hayharut Yess, with the most beautiful quest ever; for love eternal.. T_T

  • i remember starting my 2nd ever character, my night elf druid, which was second after my undead warlock, and for some reason i deleted the druid at like level 19 i wish i hadn't, it was second character ever and it was special.

this song reminds me of my first day in world of warcraft and how amazing and magical it was!

i miss the feeling of discovering all the amazing things about wow back in vannila wow!

  • one word: Dalaran crater

  • @kmitek321 Thats two words.

  • I remember my first char when i created it back as wow came out. Everything was so magical. Everything was so big and cool, new and somehow strange. I just ventured all around with my newborn Night elf Hunter. Damn.. that was so awesome..

  • I like this one.

  • What people don't realise when they say 'OMGZORZ I WANTS VANILLA BACK LOLZ!!!!' Is that they don't want vanilla back - they want that first-time feeling back... but you can never get that back D=

  • *sniffle*

  • @jolika03 I actually want and the non-warcraft bs taken out like all this drift towards micro management whether it's pve or pvp. I miss every class having insane damage abilities every 2-3 minutes, making PVP unpredictable, scary and FUN. Just an example of what I'd want back.

  • @jolika03 I miss that feeling, You can get a part of it back by not playing for 3-4 months, and then coming back and making a new character and using the class you never used before (and race)

  • @WoWlover345 I suppose I could try that, although I've now played every class (although only got a hunter and a DK to a decent level). I can't really take a break though, as even when I'm gona for liek a week people start leaving my guild. I might try it though, would be nice to get the feeling back =)

  • @jolika03 exactly. There's such a thrill of discovery when you first play a game. xD That thrill is so powerful it can even make Runescape seem like some magical wonderful place; then of course after hours of playing, you begin to lose the thrill... at least WoW has many other thrills to keep you involved xD

  • @jolika03 Mhmm, I wish there was selective erasing of knowledge :(

  • @jolika03 actually we will the first day in Cataclysm, and hopefully the whole new reforged world, and we get to explore all that with Archealogy :) Blizzard is making progress! ;)

  • @jolika03. Maybe we will be able to have that feeling of first exploring this game again in the future. If we can get the technology to wipe out the memorys which im sure we will have eventually. I to also miss the feeling, 4 years of playing this game and i have to listen to this music while leveling alts just to give me the push to level them.

  • @jolika03 then.. the only thing left to do is, kill ourselves.............. JK

  • @jolika03 oh yea, first time....2005...i started human priest..and this music played in elwyn while kiling wolfs....i remember exploring under this masterpiece...the feeling of awe and magesty will never comback...still hope remains with catacysm revamp..my first time in sw with the sw opening music...it was..the most epic experiance i have ever lived through in video games

  • @jolika03 Well said =)

But I actually want vanilla, or at least TBC, because it encouraged everyone to kill each other :D

  • @jolika03

You must be a philosopher, spawning thinking around you. WoW does seem like a drug, nothing will compare to the first time. Raiding, Deadmines, walk in a town or in a capital city, party questing etc. etc.. I remember last experiencing something brand new on a new level /w Oblivion.

  • @jolika03 You're exactly right.

  • @jolika03 you're so right.

  • let the magic do his job

  • whenever i start to draw/sketch landscapes or forests, this song always plays in my head. wow's been an amazing art influence to me...

  • *sigh*... night elves... this is just so peaceful music... <3 100,000 / 5

  • Comment removed

  • One word: Vanilla

  • Hah! Agree, but forsaken are really shitty sometimes :P

  • ahh... darkshore...

  • it sounds really legendary like your in a world full of fantasy and everyone is your enemy

  • cock weak

  • it makes me sad.

  • I remember making my first character, a Night Elf warrior, and running all the way to Stormwind at like lvl 15 or 20 just to learn Two-handed swords. Someone else was doing the same thing and i followed them all the way, haha. Just for a green! I didn't even know about the auction house back then. Strange how so many nostalgic memories can be brought out just from a song from a game... (go ahead, insert remarks about how i should go to a roleplaying server :P )

  • You're just totally right. The music brings memories of many perfect old-wow things back, thats why wow is far the best game ever made.

  • I remember my very first time on WoW. i created a Human Warlock and abandoned him at level 3.. 5 days into the game, i made a Warrior called "Worriorex" He is now level 47 and i love him dearly... Oh, only if i could go back to level 27 ( best lvl experience for me) and level 12... such great times...

  • I could just stand on the harbour in Auberdine and watch the moon go down by the sea and smell the sacred fresh air... oh, I loved this song, it really gave me a memory of my good ol' World of Warcraft days....

  • I tell ya it makes me wanna restart my subscription just to be in these areas and listen to the song. AHHH. MUST RESIST.

  • Yeah! xD You know what I'll contact Blizzard right now and ask one of those "producers" why they made new expansions, for the gamers who play for PvP, well they like the areas too but we really wanna go back in time to live it up again. Lovely WoW xD

  • go back on a high lvl and kill through everything in the zones....thats what i do

  • Then you were mutilated by a rogue and torn limb from limb..

    Ahh, isn't that great?

  • Comment removed

  • Oh goodness... I remember my noob days of WoW. Those were the good old days.

  • lol, i started out as a human once and asked how to get to Stormwind lolol

  • I miss the old WoW days. Just me and my first night elf character and the beauty of Teldrassil. OH, I miss it, I wish we could go back in time, for several reasons, just not World of Warcraft, but it's one of the big ones. Oh...

  • your so right rick :'/

  • yes :/ But we can still live with the landscapes until it gets, you know.. flooded and burned... :( But the flooded darkshore looks okay, though, we miss it. I'll keep contact with you if you wanna talk 'bout WoW xD

  • Buzz off you member of the Alliance :D

  • Horde 4 Life ^^

  • Totally know what you all mean. Played it since the very first hours it came out, and I completely miss being a noob. It sounds wierd but anyone that has played as long as most of us will know what I mean. The game is just not the same anymore :/

Its still fun don't get me wrong, just not...the same. You know?

  • ya i know

  • No, I know, I don't get you wrong. I agree so much. I miss the old days.

  • @TiaJaHuntress Being converted into an E-sport, and I know what do you mean.

  • Wise words ... I played also for 3 years and I got enough from elite raids and guild ... the feeling of atmosphere ... of a story is gone . Now its only work to farm the next higher gear ... Thats why I quit

  • @Iwillgetyou2 same thing for me. I went from being a Merciless gladiator to not caring at all. it just became a contest, not fun

  • @ex6arch6angel6 Cataclysm will bring some new stuff though , funny to explore . Start to just quit again later haha lol .

  • @Iwillgetyou2

Music's still great, theme songs build on previous tracks like memories do.

  • i know exactly what you mean, it was most fun back then :(

  • Yea I know that feeling, after I had my palli at 70 (TBC days), I felt I'd FINALLY level an alt...but it just wasn't the same, I went to different areas and all that...but different...

  • yes i know...

when i came out of the crypt with my forsaken, walking to that bald guy waiting for you, while you hear a bat flapping behind you..<3

  • @TiaJaHuntress thats called something not being new anymore that and we tend to look back at things trough a nostalgic filter.

  • @TiaJaHuntress Totally agree man, "something" is just un-replicable

  • @TiaJaHuntress Orc warrior and hunter since may of 2005. Damn I miss the beginning and the old days. When I first set out from Valley of Trials, ready to conquer the world. My god what a journey it has been. It's not the same to day as it used to be.

Had you told me about Gnome Deathknights 5 years ago I would have laughed!

  • @TiaJaHuntress Perfectly...there is an italian gamer that has made a dozen songs about wow in karaoke versions of other songs: I started playing listening to those songs, and when I hear them again I almost cry, 'cause i sort of remember how it was in the beginning...and I miss that feeling.

  • @ZoradanHawk Know exactly what you mean

  • @TiaJaHuntress The wonderment was pretty awesome. I was scared to even venture off of the road until I knew I had enough supplies to last. I didn't know if some ultra high level elite was out there, or somthing like that. Now you just know where everything is.

  • @TiaJaHuntress I miss it too man! They need to bring that feeling to higher level areas, it sucks that they put in the new dungeon/group finder and quest helper, sure it is nice, but it isn't a world of exploration anymore. I loved walking for 2 hours straight with my guild mates finding the entrance of a dungeon and resolving all those puzzles inside dungeons and complete some quests. Without a quest helper or dungeon finder, there would be so much more to explore and discover, I'm telling you!

  • @1nspirator yes and this is the reason i stopped playing because now wow its just farming...so booring

  • @TiaJaHuntress I completely understand. I haven't been with tit that long, but I got it in the middle of Burning Crusade. I do miss some of the older things. They need to open a server or two that is pre-Burning Crusade. I think they said that is not the direction they are trying to take the game, but I bet they would make some long-loyal customers happy. I do know what you mean.

  • @TiaJaHuntress The game is the same - you are not.

    *sigh* Oh, the nostalgia.

  • @TiaJaHuntress WoW was so epic when you had just started. I mean, there before you lay a whole new world and lore that needs discovering and you're the man for the job. Once you've hit 80 you've pretty much discovered everything and its just not the same anymore... I miss being a noob too.

  • @TiaJaHuntress Yes! It had such an awesome feel until like 4 months after the level cap. Not know hardly anything about any class, ugh... The noobs are so lucky!

  • @TiaJaHuntress I was completely hooked when I finished the first zone and realized how big the world actually was. And back then, it was pretty damn big compared to most others at the time. Not knowing what lied ahead = the best feeling ever.

  • @TiaJaHuntress I know.

  • @TiaJaHuntress That goes for any video game its always the most fun when it is new.

  • @TiaJaHuntress i totally agree, nothing where better then the first time you logged in, the first time you made your first character and the first time you noticed that there was stuff called.. dungeons!

  • @TiaJaHuntress

I totally agree with you. Back then it was about who played his calss good and shit, but now the only that really counts is GearScore. And if you don't do over 3.5k dp/s, you'll get kicked outta a raid almoust instantly, reason being: "You didn't do enough Damage". I'm glad that GearScore and DPS aren't important for Guildraids!

  • @Nekromant9800

Oh god...don't even get me started on this GS age bullshit. As a death knight I have gotten more dps in almost every PuG I've ever been in, which is around 6k - 8k. Sad thing is the rest of the raids usually have 5.5k+ GS. Just goes to show you its complete and utter crap.

  • I will never forget the first thing I tought about World of Warcraft without even realizing I was going to call the game by its own name: WoW!

  • @TiaJaHuntress Noobs have the most fun.
