  • great cover...ive always been a fan of sound and quickness over raw speed and this fits the bill perfectly...hope yer in a band that plays this live somewhere...and yer vid is exactly 4:20 long!...im subbin u all the way !

  • beautiful kit. gahhh and great control dude

  • @tWoodsFan00001 Hey thanks man! I appreciate it very much, and I hope you keep up the good work as well. :D Thanks for watching!

  • im watchin this on me mates youtube wat a fuuken sesh on tha bongos lol nice cover bra wat kit you using there

  • Very nice drum cover!! And nice kit!! What recording equipment do you use for your drum covers though? sounds very good... I do drum covers as well but the sound quality of my vidoes is terrible....

  • @BulletDrummer97 Thank you very very much! :D I checked out your channel, good stuff man, keep it up! Oh, as far as recording goes...I am not using a camera mic to record my covers...I actually just record the drum audio straight from the Roland's brain to a computer program using the line out. Then I add the music track and line it up with the drum track (you could use audacity to do both) Read my video description for more info, PM me with any questions, okay? Thanks! :D

  • @GmanForce422 cheers that is very helpful! I would record my videos the way you do but i have 2 TD-3 modules on my kit so i wouldn't be able to... would i be able to record it from my amplifier i have?? thanks

  • @BulletDrummer97 Just use a Y cable like the one I have listed in the video description, and go 1/4" mono outputs off both modules to your 3.5mm computer line in perhaps? Or you could go off the amp too...depends on your amp, but you should be able to line out of it. Not sure what your sound quality would be, but both would probably work. :P

  • @GmanForce422 Thanks very much, I will give that a go! Much appreciated!! and once again, great drum cover - cant stop watching it! Not sure what is happening with the views though, it seems that only my 25,000 views are being counted! haha

  • This is freaking phenomenal. VERY nice work dude...

  • @SoulShak3n Many thanks! Glad you liked it. :) :)

  • Amazing Man..!!!

  • @Luco990 Thanks man! Greetings from Massachusetts! :) You know what? I think it's cool that you're in Nicaragua, and you're watching this video that I made some 4000 miles away. man....that's like mind bogglingly super cool to me! :D Thanks for watching!

  • @GmanForce422 Hahaha! Yo! Man if they are the wonders of the internet ..!!!

Yep always thought eh This instrument is great ..!!!

You are in a band or just play as a hobby, is that, well you know get here by chance, looking for videos of POD .. Neeehhhh ...

  • @Luco990 Haha I actually play drums as a hobby, in my church's worship team, and with my family (we all play instruments and have a family band) so yeah, I play every chance I get. ;)

  • @GmanForce422 Hahaha, I see you play in church band, great ...!!!

Ah so you know I speak almost no English, the vast majority I translated with google...XDXDXDXD...

  • Great playing, Gman. Sorry if this was asked before, but what cymbals are those?

  • @mknerr Thanks bro, I appreciate it a lot! (good to meet another brother in Christ) You gonna put any more videos up? I'd like to see more of your stuff! ;)

Anywho, these are electronic cymbals included with the TD20SX electronic drumset from Roland. The cymbal numbers are CY-14C-SV (which are the two zone crashes on the right and left) and CY-15R-SV (which is the three zone ride on the far right, which has edge, bow and bell) Any other questions feel free to message me. Thanks! :D

  • how did you learn to record like that???...... I really want to learn

  • @NinjaBlue2 Hey man! :D For the video, I just taped my iPod Touch to the ceiling. :P As far as the audio goes, just click on the "Show More" tab under the video description; I explain my whole audio setup there. Thanks!

  • @MrSoccer2324 Thanks man, I really appreciate it! :D Which kit do you have? Roland makes some great stuff, I know I've had a blast with this thing. :P

  • @GmanForce422 I have a td4k which isn't the best but i think it's good for the money. I love playing all day with no complaints of noise from neighbors. I've played the one you have though and i have to say im pretty jealous. The all mesh pads really do create a realistic feel plus there bigger too

  • amazing job man, this is stellar !!!

  • Yeah boy! you are so good :D, amazing song

  • Awesome video, but I only have one complaint: all the toms sound about the same. It might be just me, but that's what it sounds like

  • that's fucking cool :) you fucking rock

  • that's fucking cool :)

  • WOW! Hey dude can u teach me how to play like that?

  • @a1r6w

  • Fill @ 1:02, Clever. Good chops man.

  • This is awesome bro! The best Drum cover Ive seen on youtube, Can you teach me how to play this song? lmao. Keep it up

  • what kind of drum set is that. i know its electric but whats the name of it

  • FUCKKKKKKK MEAN GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDDDD NICE AMAIZING

  • Nice Shiet man!!! Props!

  • god he neeeds to go in a band becuase he would own

  • I love your set up it's realy similar to mine :) this was on the money as well, great job :)

  • um, the beginning is fake, your left foot doesnt even move for the double bass hit on the bass drum.

  • @KIATOXiiCZ Haha I know it doesn't look like I play a double bass there, but I did. :P If you look REALLY closely at the beater instead of my foot, (27-28 sec mark) you might be able to see the double stroke; plus you'll notice that the beater doesn't go back nearly as far as it does when I play a single note, which is why I'm able to play double strokes with one foot. No fakes here! Just took a lotta practice to get the technique down, that's all. Plus I need a better camera. :D

  • @KIATOXiiCZ it's possible.

  • @KIATOXiiCZ Dude he doesnt even have a Double pedal dumbass. And why you gotta be haten? He's freaken Badass on the drums man. He gets into it.

  • @KIATOXiiCZ um its quite obvious that he is drumming, do you have anything better? i think he is leet!

  • awsome shit dude!

  • that's sick especially at 3:10 :)

  • dude i know(:

  • very good!

  • Amazing!! Teach me??

  • 3 people aren't the youth of the nation!

  • sickest beat ever !

  • Could you tell me which brand is the drum?

    nice cover!

  • @giovannicrack Thanks! It's a Roland TD-20SX.

  • @giovannicrack the make of the drums is Roland

  • toca bem pra caralho ....parabens

  • :O The whole time.

  • @jordanmb91 :D

  • @GmanForce422 can i ask you something ? who's dick did you have to suck to get this ? cause i'm willing and ready lol jk, but seriously a 7000 dollar kit ? what type of job do you have ?.

  • One of my favorite fucking songs of all time. I'm glad you didn't ruin it.

  • great job and nice angle

  • i actually am learning this osng now i have everything down except for the guitar solo part. Great cover man im gonna subscribe

  • i actually am learning this osng now i have everything down except for the guitar solo part

  • 'Video can not be played at a mobile device.' Oh fuck.

  • @notforyiff Yeah, what's up with that? I just noticed that too. All my other videos seem to work fine, except for this one, which happens to be one of my most viewed videos. Yeah. Makes perfect sense. /sarcasm :P

  • I always thought that Digital drums were fragile. You shushed my butt.

  • @DarKTa0 I seriously, truly, lol'd at your comment, kind sir. Like out loud. :P Glad you liked it, and thanks for the comment!

  • @DarKTa0 I use to have a Roland td-12 and the toms where rated bullet proof. :)

  • @DarKTa0 Keep in mind that the td 20 heads are made of mesh, the td-12 is a rubber pad.

  • Awesome :D

  • @41Manolo Thanks!

  • damn dude, you're good!

  • @rafael1801maragogi Thankee! :D

  • very good, my drumming friend...but let me tell you a thing, in the first strophe you complicated the beat too much...you should have played simplier, in that part...

i must say this is a cover, so you can search and apply the best sound you retain... mine is just a suggestion, very nice job anyway...

  • @rmorcn Definitely appreciate the constructive criticism, thanks for the comment!

  • Dude, I'm just a noob so of course what I just saw looks amazing. Just wanted to say that I've subscribed to your channel and am going to come here whenever I get frustrated at lack of progress. Hey. Someone thousands of miles away is using you as inspiration. Thanks.

  • @Aaryn015 Bro, sorry it took so long for me to respond to your comment. Wow, thank you, I'm kind of humbled that I could inspire you, definitely gotta give all praise to the Lord for giving the talent to me though. Be sure to practice a lot! Every day, if you can. If you have any questions at all as you practice and stuff, feel free to message me. Happy drumming!

  • nice cover dude and it just looks like you have a blast playin man ... job well done

  • very nice..

how long did u study drumming?

  • @phobiazzzero I started when I was 10 and took lessons for two years, then taught myself after that for the past nine years.

  • @GmanForce422 good job man..keep it up!!!

  • cool man

  • you're fucking sick, keep it up!

  • Can i get a download? haha, really.

  • fkn awesome dude

  • So tight! I rarely like these cover videos but you have done a phenomenal job with this song. It rocks hard and you put on a great show doing it. Great job involving your whole body to make art instead of noise.

  • @714theriddler I appreciate that a lot, thank you! I definitely view it as an art form, I think that's one of the reasons I can never sit still when I play. ;) Thanks man!

  • Personally, I would never sub someone who does covers on Electric kits. But you.... YOU MAKE ME WANT TO CRY YOUR SO FUCKIN' GOOD!

  • hi i am wondering how you record the sound of your drumset? i would like to do covers too but i dont know how to record the audio from my drumset.. and do u know another program cause i dont have mac

  • @drummingsebber I have my recording setup detailed in my video description. If you have a PC, try downloading audacity. It's a free audio editing/recording program that might work just fine.

  • Oh God, wow, very nice o.O I really like it :D

  • OMFG!!! THIS IS FCKN AMAZING OMG IM JUST COMPLETLY BLOWN AWAY IVE NEVER SEEN A COVER THIS AMAZING JUST OMG HUH SMH

  • OMFG!!! THIS IS FCKN AMAZING OMG IM JUST COMPLETLY BLOWN AWAY IVE NEVER SEEN A COVER THIS AMAZING JUST OMG HUH SMH

  • That was awesome man! I have one quesiton, how did you synch the two audio tracks (drums & song). Also how did you sync them with the video? I always have trouble to sync tracks and video, most of the time cannot sync perfectly so the sound is off. Do you do this with garage band? How hard is it to do there? I don't have a Mac so I cannot use garageband. Thanks!

  • @agatone20 Honestly, it's just trial and error for me. :P I usually just find a spot where the two tracks have a common dynamic (example, right where there is a crash on the intro to the chorus, or where the drums come back into a song). I match it up as best I can preliminarily, then I zoom right in on both tracks and do fine adjusting. And yes, once I synched up the drums and song audio, then I have to sync it with the video. Any audio/video editing software should be able to do this. Thanks!

  • Hey are these sounds from your set or you get them from Garageband? like can i get the same sounds off my TD4-s?

  • @boom12345688 I'm using the preset sounds in my my drum module. You can probably get similar sounds off of your kit, I doubt they would be the same sounds though. You might be able to get something close though if you fiddle around with it, or you could get a drum plugin in Garageband and use the TD4-S as a midi controller if you want. Thanks! :D

  • amazing and only 4,000 views...

  • omfg ! it's perfect !

    fuck good !

  • cool

  • S-s-Subscribed ~!~

  • hey men your are great

  • @xXanderZonex Thanks man, I appreciate it, even if it takes me 3 weeks to respond. :P

  • seriously that was fucking awesome, I downloaded the 720p version so I can put it on whenever I need to inject some awesomeness into my day.

  • holy shit that was AWESOME! I've been watching drum covers on youtube for years and I've never seen you, there's SO much crap on youtube, I found this after stumbling over 3 completely shit POD covers, I was not expecting such awesomeness. The SKILLS, sound and video quality is ELITE. I rarely subscribe to anyone, but I am to you because this is quality! I also do covers on a TD-12 at the same angle too lol, but this puts all my videos to shame, the skills, sound and video quality.

    MAKE MORE!!!

  • @vicx05 Haha, many thanks! :D I'll definitely put some more up once I get some more time. I checked out your videos, you got some solid stuff on there, nice work! It's funny you mention the video quality, I was surprised it worked out as well as it did; it's actually just my iPod touch taped to the ceiling, haha. XD You on the V Drums forum by any chance?

  • @GmanForce422 haha I recorded mine the same way with a nokia N73, I'll start using a proper camera from now on though, the frame rate is too slow to see the drum sticks move properly. Yea I use V-drums, wouldn't use anything less with a TD-12. Your 20SX dwarfs my kit though, it's huge.

I also suggest you put the camera back a bit so we can see at least half of you (like my videos). When you can see the drummer, you feel what he feels and so the video is much more enjoyable to watch and feel.

  • @vicx05 Yeah, I definitely see what you're saying about putting the camera back a little bit, I'll have to give that a try next video. My ceilings aren't that high, so placement is always kinda tricky. :P

You should check out the vdrums.com forum if you're not on there already, it's pretty cool. I think you'd enjoy it.

    Thanks for your input!

  • Great playing man,

first time hearing the song, i already love it. :]

  • @NicholasRundell Why thank you, Nick! This is your first time hearing Youth of the Nation, huh? It's an awesome song; I sense a drum cover in the near future, hmm? :P

  • @GmanForce422 ...

    maybe? :]

  • If i ever see a girl do that that good, i will immediately subscribe

  • @MotherRabbits09 what difference does it make whether a girl or guy is playing? I wouldn't care if it was a donkey playing as long as they've got the skills to jam like this.

  • I wish I could like this video a thousand times.

    You have talent, gman.

  • Hey, what program did you use to make the intro?

  • @TheAnonymousCunt I used iMovie. I seem to recall it was the 'Organic' transition or something like that. :)

  • get a real set

  • @mydrum08 If by "real" you mean, "acoustic", I actually do have a set of Yamaha Maple Customs that I also use. :) The Yamaha's are very nice, but also very loud, which makes them impractical for some venues. I use the Roland electric drums in that case, or for quick recording, or for rehearsing in my house, just jamming out and playing along to my music. No one else can hear me, and it's extremely easy to adjust tuning, effects, balance, etc. But for feel, and dynamics, acoustics definitely win.

  • what kind of drum set is that and awesome drumming

  • @rocker22728 It's a Roland TD-20SX. Thanks!

  • hahaha so SICK! i enjoyed it, thanks for posting!!

  • OMG , fucking EPIC

  • wow..haha as a drummer myself its cool to see the drum part put into the action in this song :) Great job.!!!

  • @restdown22 Thankee! :) Happy drumming!

  • Dude this is epic. I freaking love it, and I hope to play like this one day. Good job man. I love it. :D

  • @Sitches1344 Thank you very much! :D Be sure to get your practice in; that's the most important thing. As long as you do that, I'm sure you'll be fine. :)

  • wow... dats ol i can say

  • hes good

  • what kind of drum set is ti??

  • @77Mexico77 Read the description dipshit

  • man thats insane i love it ill be sure to watch it over and over as a manic-depressant this song apeals to me and my happieness so thanks for doing the cover it freaking rocks

  • you're insanely good.. how long you been drumming?

  • @crazyfool330 Thanks! I've been drumming for 10 years, started when I was 10, took lessons till I was 12, then kinda took it from there. :)

  • WOW MAN. That sounds freeking Powerful! great cover!

  • @HarryHopkinson Thanks Harry! I appreciate it, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

  • Could you explain what your recording set up is like? i'd like to try my hand at some videos like this but ive been having trouble getting the ideal set up.

  • @chaos311clarity Thanks for commenting! I'll be sending a message your way. :)

  • @GmanForce422 Hey, I really like you vid and I too am wondering how your recording setup is like. While i was watching, I notice there weren't any plastic hitting noises. care to share your setup to me too? :D
