@JuineRS 2500k is about 200$, windows 7 is 100$ there is no way you got ram, case, psu, graphics card, and some fans for 400$ unless you have a leftover pc
Dude upgrade your video card to a MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr II its really good video card i recommend it highly runs all my games fine even crysis lol
@Ziggy2k9x I don't recommend XFX- not the best brand. btw you most likely wont need 8gb ram it would be a waste of money. :o! everything else looks good. You need a optical drive btw (you need it to install the OS)
@MiKExELiiTE No, they don't. AM3 uses DDR3, AM2+ cpus support only DDR2. You can however use an am3 cpu on a am2+ board, since am3 cpus support both DDR3 and DDR2. BTW am2+ cpus have one more pin on them, so they don't even fit into an am3 socket. You should really calm down on the name calling, because it makes you look all the more ignorant when you're proven wrong, just sayin'.
@MiKExELiiTE AMD says it does not work on AM3 boards, unless the motherboard supported it along with bios support. Which this board only supports AM3 only.
@DavinDaGeek i have no clue when you said it i was like that makes sense but after reading that guys comment i looked at the name and it says AM2"+" so maybe the + means am2 and above
@DavinDaGeek holey moley that clears ALOT from my head now!! (lol, i though i need a dvd WRITER and a DVD-CD drive, one to write disks and one to play disks..)
@mrwhatwhat15 Gee only 12 years old? I suppose youtube would like to know you've violated their TOS by lying about your account info then. Not to mention a quick google search shows you're quickly on your way to being a full fledged racist troll. Congrats on being a failure. I'm sure your parents are proud.
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the AM3 socket backwards compatible with the AM2 and AM2+ processors??? As far as I've heard it is so why would you send this processor back? If I'm right than you were too lazy too look for info on MOBO and Processors socket compatibility :)
@GameGearGuy No, I've read the AMD website and they said AM2+ are compatible with some mother boards but one like mine will need a bios update to support it, and I also can't run AM2+ cpus with ddr3 ram. That wold have meant to send back my ram which I don't want to do since I got such a great deal on it. AHAhA yeah thanks for thinking what you think I'm think I should be feeling. :)
@DavinDaGeek Oh I actually didn't know the fact that DDR3 ram doesn't work with AM2+ processors :D Thanks for the info there because I was planning to upgrade my MOBO, video card and RAM but not my old processor so i actually would have been stuck there :P I guess got to save more money for the processor too :( I'm probably gonna go with the following setup:
Hey thanks for putting this up. I'm a complete noob when it comes to building a PC and PC gaming period. And I"m also building one so that i can do concept art for games. I'll be using lots of photoshop and the electronic pen and pad deal. So thanks for hleping
Does it matter which kind of SATA cables u buy? I really want to buy the UV green SATA cables, so im wondering if those would work with my ASUS motherboard :)
I could be wrong but your probably gonna need some DDR3 RAM coolers and maybe another 120mm fan. there is also another space for a 120mm fan in front to keep the air moving around your hard drive(s) so maybe you will want to buy two more 120mm fans. 39dB is pretty noisy so keep that in mind when buying your fans and be sure that that have decent airflow. Shop around.
@imre1205 Well certain gpus run differently with different games. I suggest checking out TomsHardware website where they have lots of charts with the those cards doing different task so you can compare them both. Just google TomsHardware and once there click charts and you should get all you need.
@kr3wson I know but the nvidia gtx470 doesnt overheat, only the gtx 480! but i decided to buy an nvidia gtx 470 from gainward cause of physX and 3d vision :)
@No4al I'll choose the nvidia GTX 560Ti or GTX 470, and for me will be enough the AMD Phenom X4 965 :D I can't wait the summer when i'll order parts and start building :)
@fearn45 "Building two computer systems". One for my self, and one for my dad.Not sure if you heard me say that or not, but that's what I'm plan on doing.
you really should buy 6870 as it is....AMAZING video card and im gonna tell ya right now to get a better processor like 1090T 6 core processor...its amazing for the price and if u want to use ur pc for a long time i would sugest these two and i also sugest u buy a tx 750 power suply from corsair. 6870 is much faster than the 5770 but yet the same price and i suest u buy all ur stuff from newegg as they are very cheap there...and if u want ur pc for a long time then buy 6950 cus it awsom fr price
@megasmart1337 It's not that bad actually. I'm doing all kinds of stuff with it. However I will be getting a new videocard in January. You have any suggestions on any new ones?
@bro589 Yeah my two sets of DDR3 ram and the high end CPU is what's making the price a bit higher, I have two types of ram one none dual channel, and my pair of dual channel ones which will be coming soon :^P but it's not all that much. If you take out the peripherals/essentials then it might be around 500-ish or so. But yes, this is everything bought from scratch.
@whylie74 i agree and disagree i did have an asus mobo and it was 1 of the most longest lasting mobo's i had but if u can go for a asrock belive it or not they are actually really good and got great features but u need to try to find one that has an warranty or no bab reviews of it brake'n early cause i had one that burnt out in 6 months and it had no warranty :(
ALSO NEVER BUY MSI I BOUGHT A $170 MOBO FROM THEM AND A CHIP SHORTED OUT AND FRYED MY BOARD AND CPU (pentium D 3.2 ghz)
rofl i know ur good with idetifing computer parts but the blue cord is a SATA (sA-Ta) not a SAMTA from what i heard from the audio :D but i could have just miss heard the audio aswell :P..... but for every1 else don't confuse SATA cords with IDE cords they do the same thing but look totaly differant SATA cords are small and thick while IDE cords are wide and thin
@sxy070 Yes you miss heard what I said because I have no idea where you hear an "M" when I said SATA , that right there confused me a lot xD? and yeah IDE and SATA cables do the same thing, however SATA cables transfer data much faster than IDE cables.
bahaha thats some nicer stuff than mine dude, i'm running a junk yard dog in a dimension 2400 case lol. all frankensteined up, works and plays morrowind so i'm not gonna complain! building comps is almost as fun as rebuilding motors...
@daswada9 AM2+ cpus are definitely not compatible with AM3 sockets. Putting an AM2+ processor into an AM3 will damage your motherboard and possibly your CPU as well, however AM3 cpus are backwards compatible with and AM2+ socket :).
@hvillin Depends on how much money you're willing to shell out. The card I have will do hd video editing just fine, but if you wish to be on the safe side then I suggest ATI 100-505115 FireMV 2400 Video Card, it'll be more than perfect, but if that card is a bit too rich for your blood then I would say go with the ATI 100-505179 FireMV 2250 256MB DDR2 Workstation Graphics Card or ATI 100-505141 FireMV 2200 Video Card They're all pretty great. But tell me more about your budget, then I can rl hlp
@DavinDaGeek Okay thanks. I looked at them all on tigerdirect and it looks like the ATI 100-505179 FireMV 2250 256MB DDR2 Workstation Graphics Card is what I'm looking for. It's not too expensive and it should do everything I need it to.
LMAo the thumbnail looks like a penis enlargedment kit. Not that I have ordered any. LOL Great vid man... Rated! Keep us posted as to how your upgrade goes.
@Ihit2run2 Well it all comes down to preference and your budget. Both Windows PCs and Macs can do the same thing when it comes to Graphic Design. If you have the money to spend on a Mac and you like their OS better than windows then go for it. But on the other hand you can spend less amount of money for a windows pc that has the same specs as macs for hundreds of dollars less, and you can customize them to a Tee. All in all it comes down to you and what you prefer :^),There is no right or wrong.
@DavinDaGeek ok because I currently have $500 saved up. In school we use macs in my graphic design class. and my current computer is a dell and it cant handle all the stuff i need. I do like the windows operating system and all but I also like the mac. I was first thinking about an HP Pavilion and that was before I used a mac. the main programs that I use are illustrator photoshop, dreamweaver, fireworks, cinema 4d and after effects. and I know adobe+mac=heaven as a friend said, but i still idk
@Ihit2run2 Oh no, you do not need a mac to run any of those programs, you can actually build your own computer system for $500 bucks that will be beast when using those programs. Heck you can make something like what I have, it is more than powerful enough for those programs. It's really fast. and there are more programs and games available for windows right now. My suggestion is to build your own system; You can build an amd system for $500 over at cyberpowerpc (dot) com
@Ihit2run2 Why is it heaven? never really get an answer to that, that is sensible. As a pro in the field, I will respond, any decently powered pc will run them, a high end will have them smoking. Using both platforms, I have found that what is really meant is that Mac's come with more stuff ready to roll, powerwise, I think it is a myth when it comes to usage. The power is in the user. But, everyone is free to an opinion, and should use what is comfortable for them.
The vid took me back a few years, I know u wouldn't know it by my channel, but I used to build computers, I was good with the hardware, but not so much with the software .... lol. I used to have a 3 ft by 8 ft closet filled to the top with computer parts and whole systems, used to pickup junk computers and salvage the parts, it was alot of fun, if I still made money at it I'd probably still be doing it. Congrats on the new puter, looks like it's gonna be bad ass, Great vid bro!!!
@NeverEnuffAmmo Wow I didn't know you worked on computers, that's crazy. What did you do to all those parts? Sold them for guns and ammo? Lol idk? and thanks, I hope it will be. :)
@DavinDaGeek I sold all the parts to a computer repair shop, I got screwed on the price I got for all of the stuff, but I couldn't drag all that stuff around with me.
That is a BAD computer... It was 2010 though ._.

@hvillin yep, that card should do you more than fine.

what do you suggest for graphic design. mac, or a gaming pc type
Ihit2run2 1 year ago

Ihit2run2 1 year ago

DavinDaGeek 1 year ago
@DavinDaGeek I sold all the parts to a computer repair shop, I got screwed on the price I got for all of the stuff, but I couldn't drag all that stuff around with me.

@NeverEnuffAmmo Ah I see, look on the bright side you can use the room to store a lot of other stuff.
