I've been working on a battery powered special effects system for a sci-fi prop weapon... been trying to figure out the audio setup, but every salvage-store speaker & altoid tin amp combination I've tried so far can't get the volume level I want without distorting. Your amp looks like it might be able to do it.

Can you give me some advice on what to look for in my speaker? The amp circuit can be mounted off-unit and connected by a lead, but ideally the speaker be <4", to fit in the ammo drum.
