What's with the naysaying? We watched this in one of my MLIS classes, and it almost makes me wish I was doing librarianship rather than training to be an archivist. I love that people in this field can have a sense of humor about what they do.
I was dismayed to think that ANYONE could possibly take our comedy video seriously! This was NOT intended to insult Librarians. Far from it! Rather, it is a "tongue-in-cheek" little comedy, which has inspired much laughter in our Library workshops with thousands of Library Professionals in the U.S., Canada, Australia and NewZealand. Hope you can reframe your perception now. Sincere apologies to ANYONE who took tour silly video seriously!!!! Joan Giannone, President, Mentor Group Training Inc.
Glad to hear that MLIS students are being subjected to our humour...and perhaps to the concept of roving...in a really tongue-in-cheek way. We use this in all our "Pro-active Service and Roving" training workshops, as a way to add some fun to the topic. - Joan Giannone, President, Mentor Group Training Inc.

This is astonishingly bad and insulting to library workers. To my understanding, library workers are well trained, many have Master's degrees. I don't think they need grade school training methods. Whoever paid for this got ripped off but is too stupid to realize it.
this is just the way the library I volunteer at every Thursday night carries on - Heave Ho! - cool vid with a clever way to remember...what was it again? ; )

Wonderful! I am a librarian in Germany and would like to have such days more often: Perfect customers that make me feel like dancing.

and here I thought MAPHAT was the de rigueur headwear amongst cartographers.
Funny stuff, that has to be the wildest library I've seen in years.... and the vocalist sounds familiar, almost related...
