@zoey101417 why is it that the tools for witches are candles, knives, sticks, and cups? why are the herbs with the most properties rosemary, cinnimon, and basil? why an altar and not a temple? because after the pagans had to go into hiding, they didnt practice in large, marble temples with proud statues of their Deities. they didnt use expensive foreign herbs. they didnt use swords, or fountains. all they had was the herbs in their cabinet, some dinner knives, and some wax. use what you've got!

We (hopefully most of us follow this, as we are all human and make mistakes) are greatful for what we have, and don't see it as sinful to enjoy food, drink and acts of love - but ONLY when they aren't harming anyone, indluding our selves. So we wouldn't take drugs or be alcholoics or abuse sex because that hurts our families and ourselves. And all people are equal so we don't take a higher status.

I have been told that after you do after casting a circle and doing an opening ritual and invoking the elements god godess that you need to do a closing ritual. Do u do this and if so how would it be done?

@1800braty Once you have cast a circle and then finished your ritual you do need to close it. This is done by basically doing the same as before but backwards. Say thanks and goodbye to deity, then to each element in the reverse order you opened with. Then uncast the circle counterclosewise :) x

do you ever consider being a hermit ? :) going to a forest or a cave to have a meditation in there wishing to get some miracle/revelation... you know, some people in ancient centuries did. Even now some people do. The founder of Reiki did a meditation in the mountain Kurama, Japan. He saw colorful shiny orbs and they came inside his body.

Of course this is not easy. Considering there are dangerous things out there. Some people succeed some people fail...

Like a father and mother leave their DNA in their creation, Gods DNA is within the earth and creatures, so we all have God and Goddess within us.

@ScarletC0met :) I never remember scripts of writing! I make it up as I go along. Many people read beautiful passages from a sheet of paper and there is nothing wrong with this. If there is ever a certain prayer I want to say I will read it out, but otherwise I always make it up. If you can't make it up or are scared you will have a blank then reading from paper can help it run smoothly.

Hey, I am serious 'cause when I learn about all religions' rituals I see they can only be done if you are affected by gravity. How about if someday you are in another planet ? How to determine wind directions?

@nerektakeilla This is a really fascinating question!! I'd say because the point of this religion is nature so the nature in space is different. If I was in space I would mark directions but not call elements. I would invoke Nuit - rather than an earth bound God. As Nuit is the sky/star Goddess.

Interesting. Lets imagine. You are an astronaut. You are in a space shuttle and are in zero-magnetic area. How do you do Wiccan rituals? There are no wind directions when you are outer space. Calling The Guardian from North for example, how does a Wiccan do that when they are in a Space Shuttle ? And how to build an altar including turning on candles in a place not affected by gravity ? Actually this question is for anyone religious 'cause I find rituals can only be done when you are in earth.

@SuperRainbowRain If you don't want her to know you can do it after she goes to bed, or in the bathroom, in or out of the bath, or go outside? You can be silent in ritual, and you don't need any tools either so you can make it really subtle.

@SuperRainbowRain i personally wait until my family is asleep, or when i have the house to myself. another way is to actually go outside. if theres any part of your backyard that hides you, use it. or you could go to a nearby park or forest or beach...and if you have any friends who also practice or accept wicca, you could always ask to use their home. i hope this helps you and i wish you well on your magickal journey.

I've seen many vids on how to cast a circle. This is a good vid for a new Wiccan to learn the basics of casting a circle or for those who practicing as a solitaire. As for a lot of the comments I've read here, why choose this place to ridicule or bash Wiccans or any religion. One of the things that Wiccans feel is important is to be respectful of people and nature. An if it harm no one, do what ye will.
