get him on iracing and see how he does. nice and smooth by the looks of it. not major fast. but for an 8 year old its amazing! lets see some vids of him really going for it. would be good to see his control then. very well done young man!

il see about iracing, i dont want him just playing pc games and getting hooked on them at 10 as they are so good but i would also like to see him back on gpl same track same car, maybe we can make another vid and see what the difference is.

i think i mentioned before that 2 days after that lap he did a 3.24 in the lotus, which i still have on video but never uploaded it.

i was going to say i will post a video of my times, but at the end of the day it doesnt matter how much quicker my times are. im 28 and have been driving for longer than his age. hes just a kid and driving like that. amazing. and i know what you mean about trying not to get him to into computers.... i dont remember what the sun looks like. lol

Brabham isnt really the car for Spa, also Ive used Greg Stewart set ups before and to that the car is nervous is a massive understatement! Extremely impressive considering he's only 8!! Obviously a very talented kid, his car control looked superb, particularly on the entry to Masta and Blanchimont when the back was trying to get away under braking. Great stuff!

For god's sake, get that kid in a kart, NAO. You said below it's an expensive road to take... but it'd be worth it. This kid has TALENT, man. It took me ages to master GPL and I'm 15.

I don't know the future of F1 right now... it's a bit of a mess... but if it keeps going your boy could well be a magnificent driver. If not in F1, then definitely in LeMans, Super GT... anything :)

We'll all agree that gpl is the hardest sim to drive fast, so it's another big WOW for me to see him do what he does.

i know what you mean about the 8 year old on gpl online, i certainly wouldnt allow him to go online racing yet..he still thinks that its graham hill, jim clark bandini, jack brabham etc for real when racing with the ai lol

i never actually told him how to drive, he watched me and copied what i did.

very shortly after he did a 3.22 at spa in the lotus, i have that on film but havent uploaded it yet. hes not touched the sim since last year.

Get some excellent tracks from SPEEDGEEZERS etc.sites for this very talented lad , what steering wheel are you using ? I would love to know what it is.Can he drive the Nurburgring as well also ? Mosport is a great track for learning technique its my personal favourite.Search Wikipedia for some excellent links , have you the 65 carset? there is a night version also I believe!

iv told him what a good driver you are and what your words mean also i have shown him a couple of race replays from our races we had...so he knows who you are already :)

He seems to have this ability to adapt to any track in just a few laps...i cant work it out lol.

i am racing the 2008 gpl world cup atm, that should go on until late this year.

thanks! the look on his face at the end says everything :).....im still shocked....if i think back to when i started it was nothing like how he has gone about it, i just cant understand how he finds it so normal??

but then again its all set up well and he has seen me on it doing a few laps but on the other hand he still has to do it himself.

hehe...yes very proud thanks, hes be playing for the last 2 months but more so is that he has only done a hand-full of laps at spa

it took me a hundred or so atempts to complete one lap when i first started a few years back. i dont know how he does it!
