This video was very entertaining, and definitly worth watching. However, I am confused as to what some of the points of the tests are? (Slamming the door comes to mind)
I would say it was testing how strong the parts are. You wouldn't want to slam the door on your car and then not be able to get back in again because a part broke
Most of the tests shown here are airbag tests: The engineers test if the airbags deploy unwanted (for example, if you drive over a road hump or into a gravel heap as shown).

they are testing airbag modules. taken extreme desceleration to make sure they don´t deploy
