The Bible does not contain a verse that says "Noah / Abraham kept the Sabbath, so you should too." It does, however say: "Noah walked with God" (Gen 6:9) &we know that God kept the Sabbath (Gen 2:2). and:
"Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws" (Gen 26:5)
Also, God's people kept the Sabbath Before the Ten Commandments were given. Read Exodus 16 for an interesting look at how God used manna to teach us all to keep the Sabbath.

@Acerrak there was not just the 7th day sabbath in jewish law in those days but annual sabbaths as well. Those are the sabbaths mentioned. And it does specify. These were kept to show belief in the Jesus before he came. When he died, they were no longer needed. In fact, keeping those would be NOT accepting that Jesus is Lord. The 7th day sabbath is God's law and does not change. The Bible says one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law. IT WILL NEVER CHANGE!

i can see where this man is going, but i think the word "work" is taken out of content. Jesus was working by spreading the gospel and healing, not by working for a living. the sabbath day is for God, a holy day, so working to bring people closer to God is acceptable mainly because it shouldnt be considered to be work; we should be doing that on a daily basis (which is what Jesus would do). now, i did like the metaphore of Jesus being the sabbath day, but i dont think that's what it really means.

Christ was under the old covenant that is why he was able to fulfill the law. He didn`t Break the law. We are now under the new covenant of Grace which looks to christ and his fulfillment of the law. If we look to the sabbath we come under the law and receive condemnation for our efforts. Not to be confused with conviction of the holy spirit which is how we learn from god.

The scripture reading is presented out of context by this man. God wants us to abide by the Sabbath day. God wrote the commandments with his own finger. Why would God write them and then say don't bother keeping them? God put the Sabbath day in the list of 10 because He wanted us to know it is necessary. What God doesn't want us to be is legalistic. God is a King of love and mercy. If someone is sick on the Sabbath day and you can help/heal them, you should. Read the full chapters presented.

Pretty good vid, only Jesus didn't break the sabbath commandment. He is the sabbath and hence the Lord of the sabbath. He is the sabbath the 7th day points too. Since he is over the day then it was not sin for Him to put other things over the symbolic sabbath of rest like he did when he spoke of animal sacrifice and circumcizing being lawful on the sabbath. They then over rode the symbolic day of rest. There is another day, Ps 118

He healed on the Sabbath, this is God's work.
Jesus was a carpenter's son, but not once in the Bible do you find Jesus Making a table on the Sabbath.
Jesus went to the synagogue as was the custom of his nation. You would be stoned if you went in a synagogue preaching against Sabbath.
Read the book again.
Every righteous person in the bible was a Sabbath keeper. Every single one.

The Bible does not contain a verse that says "Noah / Abraham kept the Sabbath, so you should too." It does, however say: "Noah walked with God" (Gen 6:9) &we know that God kept the Sabbath (Gen 2:2). and:
"Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws" (Gen 26:5)
Also, God's people kept the Sabbath Before the Ten Commandments were given. Read Exodus 16 for an interesting look at how God used manna to teach us all to keep the Sabbath.

My Pastor does not get paid by the church, but yes, he does the work God has ordained to be done on THE Sabbath.

& I agree that in Exodus 16, God's people were being "bottle fed" -as you put it. They were being fed the milk (as Paul puts it in 1cor 3:2) and then the meat came in ten bitesized chunks that some still struggle to digest, even after Jesus said "Love The LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind." (Matthew 22:37) and also "If you love me KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS." (John 14:15) -also see John 15:10.

2Corinthians 3:7-12 says quite clearly that Law was good, but what Jesus taught us about it is better.
The Shine on Moses' face faded - representing the outward practice of the law in order to seem right. It doesn't stand up to God's view of righteousness.

@Acerrak there was not just the 7th day sabbath in jewish law in those days but annual sabbaths as well. Those are the sabbaths mentioned. And it does specify. These were kept to show belief in the Jesus before he came. When he died, they were no longer needed. In fact, keeping those would be NOT accepting that Jesus is Lord. The 7th day sabbath is God's law and does not change. The Bible says one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law. IT WILL NEVER CHANGE!

Interesting to note in exodus 16, it doesn't use the word remember;) and also, Exo 16 is further proof it was given to Moses himself, as there was never a command given, or any man shown as having kept the sabbath, prior to Moses.
The bible showed God rested..but he didn't rest because it was the seventh day. He stopped creating the world because it was 'completed'..so it had nothing to do with him keeping the sabbath.
He rested from his creating work, but he still worked in other ways.

God never rested on the seventh day just to pick up his creating work again. He never started re-creating this world...His work in that regard was finished, that was the only reason he rested and is still resting from that work today.
This resembles how Christ when he finished the atoning work, he sat down on the right hand of God, having forever perfected those who are sanctified.
Which further resembles how when a person comes to Christ, he is made complete, and in completeness.....

1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
The Jews had to obey this as did everyone else, the law you refer to is the Mosaic law given to the Jews because of their lack of faith.
Abraham kept the law:

Imagine free, the text you referred me to is talking about days like feast of tabernacles, unleavened bread, etc.... or days people hold in esteem higher than others, like president's day. The servants of Yahshua (Jesus) that hold His commandments and the testamony of His name which are the true brothers and the true bride are to support each other and to help the brother that has stumbled. That being said we are to take great caution in the last days as there are mass amounts of scriptures that talk about the "church" and it's ways in these times.
We don't need the SDA's, or any other "church". All we need is YHWH, His Son Yahshua, and the Holy Spirit that is given.

i can see where this man is going, but i think the word "work" is taken out of content. Jesus was working by spreading the gospel and healing, not by working for a living. the sabbath day is for God, a holy day, so working to bring people closer to God is acceptable mainly because it shouldnt be considered to be work; we should be doing that on a daily basis (which is what Jesus would do). now, i did like the metaphore of Jesus being the sabbath day, but i dont think that's what it really means.

i'm so sorry 4 dis pas2r.he's leading d people away from worshipping God in HIS holy day-not our day.the Bible says, the sabbath was made for man(Gk. anthropos meaning man like you and me)it didn't say, the sabbath was made for the jews. if soriano believes that he's man and not animals, then he should worship God in HIS holy day and not in any other day that God didn't mention in the Bible. in Isaiah it says that the sabbath will continue in the new heaven and the new earth.

Jesus did not work on the Sabbath, He HEALED on the Sabbath. That is what John 5:18 is speaking of. The Pharisees saw this healing as "work" and desired to kill Jesus. This Pastor is taking it out of context.

The confusion this preacher is making is to say that Jesus was "working" when he went to preach on the Sabbath. But the breaking of the law is when you work for yourself on this day. Sabbath is the day not to go to our "secular" job, but to work to the salvation of mankind. This is clear in the life of jesus. Therefore, the commandament was kept by Jesus and is supposed to us to do the same.

This man is not preaching the truth Jesus is not a day he is Lord of the Sabbath . The Sabbath was Made for Man and existed over 2000 years before the existance of a Jew. Most Protestants agree that Saturday the 7th day is the Sabbath certainly not the 1st day of the week Sunday.

We don't teach that Jesus is an angel. All we say is that Micheal and Jesus are one in the same. Not eating clean meat WILL NOT get ANYONE into heaven. Eating as natural a diet clears our minds so we can better hear God's Voice. And since you have heard the Truth from your roommate means God will judge you on that light you have been given. So if you TRULY feel that it was not the Truth, then you will be all right. But something tells me you are fighting it.

this roommate also lived with and was sleeping with his gf that he knew 1 month and saying nothing was happening so i said ok i can't continue living in this sin so i moved out. it was if he could justify anything it was ok so thats when i realized that we didn't serve the same God.
