I remember that show Surface that use to come on NBC...It was about an asteroid that clashed with the earth a long time ago and fused with the life that is found in the oceans. It's an interesting thing to think that some extraterrestrial forms of life could exist on our planet already and us not know it because to us things look like they "Belong" in the seas. Just a thought. Nothing i've researched enough about to confirm...But things creatures are very weird and unique. Very cool.

why are there thousands of known creatures of the sea and none beyond our own world? if you go into the depths of the deepest oceans who knows what could happen, you could be swallowed whole by some butt ugly creature.
