@swderek hey how are ya thanks for the comment, yeah we'l definately be playin around ireland this summer if ya check out our facebook page under the calvinist band you should be able to find the dates week from week when ya come over thanks again
Been hearing this song a lot on 101.9 new york. I woke up to it the other day with my alarm clock, and now I stumble upon this gem! On the radio I swore I heard banjos and mandolins! It's genius. It's musically artistic, with straight forward lyrics. And I didn't know they were so young! I wish them the best, themeltist.
I read the article about The Calvinists in the New York Times - so I discoverd your songs in youtube. In my oppinion: Absolut great, talentet, superb, brilliant - congratulation ! ! ! Follow this way - my best wishes - Bodo J. Baginski (author)
The Irish Tourist Board ought to sue Matthew Gross for going off his anti-depressants and writing the bleakest, saddest travel piece on Ireland in last Sunday NYT's travel section. Poor guy couldn't get anyone to talk to him. I'm not making this up. I've been there 15 times and I've never had a problem finding people to talk to. This was way under the standard for writing (of any sort) in the New York Times. Ireland is the land of people who love talking to you. Even now.
Even better news - the article - which mentions the band in the larger context of traveling through The Reeks area - is now #3 on the OVERALL (all subjects) trending chart for the Times.
I'm not a regular Times reader; just stumbled on it.
This is not a surprise, since Matt Gross is quite the profound writer (without artifice).
@7855waldo -- Damn you. You beat me to the punch. I was hoping to get in on this before other people. Ulterior motive: Entrance into Tai's pants. Hot! Hot! Hot!
who is the lead singer? he better be careful... snake in the grass hollywood agents are coming... ... and if their offer sounds too good to be true... IT IS!
Attention Calvinists, you've been written up by Matt Gross (then traveling through Ireland) in the New York (City) Times (October 23, 201; "Lost In Ireland")..
