A watch commander is a senior police officer who has supervision responsibility for a shift crew in whatever discipline that is in place. It generally refers to General Duty or a specialized investigative division. In my opinion (30 years in the CJS) this guy is either innoncent, or a really high end psycho/sociopathic person. They should run some psychometric tests to get a clue.
If this fellow is a psycho/sociopath, he probably could beat a lie detector stone cold.

I feel that everyone deserves a fair trial but in this case, Mr. Petersons demeanor is very strange. For a man claiming that his wife supposedly "took off" with another man has not seemed at all concerned of where she could be, even though she had not contacted him, plus the fact that he was willing to date other women not long after her disappearance. Also, his love of the media attention is very strange. I can see hiding some emotions, but for this man, it seems natural. God bless you Stacy.

Why don't we wait until the result of the trial before making such judgments. There are plenty of cases, such as the Fox case, where the defendant was just an unlikable guy... that ended up being innocent.
You guys are full of such anger and hate towards a guy that has be convicted of nothing, yet. Also, does wanting him to be put to death so badly make you any better than a murderer? Many states, including Illinois, think so.

Wow, if you were in the same position as he was you would feel a lot different. Peterson is a target by the media and is basically getting retried for a crime that he was aquitted for, which is a clear violation of his right to not double jeopardy protection. I hate the guy to, but am a firm advocate for people's civil rights.

I'm a lawyer (not crim.) but I'm for the first time in my life worried that we are truly getting sloppier and sloppier in this country with basic civil rights. Even though I HATE these damn murderers. But in this case, unless Drew was prosecuted, I don't quite see how 2ble jeopardy comes into play. I agree it is v suspect that a second autopsy years after wife#3 dies can show she drowned.

But how do you overturn a legal ruling in which an investigation was conducted, and was ruled a wrongful death?
Now all of sudden forensic evidence and and hersay links him to the crime, which is great, but not enough to go after him in my opnion mainly on the basis you cannot be tried twice in a case were an ample ruling was found. Will county will look bad either way, but im more concerned about how the media put pressure on a goverment to go after somone in the way that's being done.
