One of my favorite country music videos. The movie being played on the screen is called "The Terror of Tiny Town", the only movie starring only midgets. It may be called "One of the worst movies ever made", but I still like to see it one of these days (just for kicks).
anyone else reminded of that old CBS show Jericho when you hear this song? It's about a small Kansas town that survives a nuclear war in the US and struggles to stay together and save the country. Awesome show, awesome song.
My wife and I have seen Hal in concert on two occasions and he was very, very good. He was really nice to talk to, also, after both concerts. My wife has the picture I took of her with Hal on her phone permanently. We hope his health is improving and that we will be able to see him in concert again. I promised him anytime he comes to Connecticut we will be there. BTW, listen to his "I Know Where Love Lives" is one great, real country song.
one of my fav songs i grew up with since i was a kid. I would hear this song on the way to school have always been a country fan. I miss the old country music like this good old times :D
im only 18 years old... but i grew up listening to country... im more into rock now but the good ones never get old... i remember driving down the road in my dads old silverado listening to this
@WTFFTW3567 I couldnt agree with you more. I live in a big city now but come from a small mid western town and people here think I'm crazy when I tell them life was just better and simpler years ago and in small towns. Just look at the music, todays music has no heart and soul like it used to. At least that's how I see it. Everyone seems to be in a hurry to make a dollar and forget there are those without a dime! Great point man.
Sounds like my friends and I growing up, the gas gauge was always hitting red, we had nothing to do. we all use to dig in our pockets to put a few dollars in the tank and took the truck on the the dirt roads to the middle of no place. loved growing up in a small town
I actually grew up and live just one town over from where Hal Ketchum is originally from!!!! He was born and raised in Greenwich (around here it's pronounced "Green witch") NY. I was even at the local county fair the year that he performed there for his hometown crowd.... I've always loved his music!
I live in a small town with alot of west virginia country roads we all get drunk and try to find something to do been in that small town saturday night sittuation a time or two
This came out during the Era when some of the ABSOLUTE BEST COUNTRY MUSIC was being produced. The so called country artists nowdays cant sing to save their lives

@1dillontaylor Depends on your taste really I like this song but I am not a country guy. a few songs here and their are about it.
Compared to my usual choices in music this sounds simple minded, still like it just giving a different opinion
