@canihave2bucks see the problem is i don't know how to destroy cities. Take the mongols for example. once they conquer barbarians a city is build on the precious resource thus preventing harvesting access to the city.
for some reason once i was playing it and i won domination victory when i was aiming for culture... i guess becouse all these great people tricked the citizens in the city to be loyal to me
that usually happens when the person who is host or has a higher level of connection TO the host is on your team..you still won..but if you are partners..it would say he won.
basically, in the beginning my partner got teamed up again and barely survived, he even lost his capital. And I was quietly playing as the romans, and got huge production and made like every wonder. Then I built the UN after flipping like 20 of the other team's cities, and then Won. Next thing I know my partner Gets the victory while his only city is a crap city on a tiny island. I was SOOO pissed!
I play the greeks, my partner the Aztecs, when his rush is successful sometimes I don't get much of a look in but still come first, I believe it's overall score, if your partner has more points than you then he will win, you get points for other things than capturing cities. Rushers generally have bad high scores since they don't get far in the game, so minimal science!
Ive had half the world taken over with 2 enemy capitals
Ive had colonists on the way to alpha Centauri
BOTH world banks and UN were being built but somehow
My friend gets the victory with only one capital and he barely reached the modern era and had no wonders.

Hey I got a question. How do you get rid of your own cities that you do not like? or do cities stay built once you build them?

That happened to me. I captured all of my opponents capitals and my team mate who didn't capture any cities got 1st and I got 2nd
