  • your a beast at guitar =0

  • lol his description says hi ^_^

  • man i need to know how to make a video without a camera

  • What kind of processor or compute do you recomend or do you need to make this software work well?

  • @PIlotrcm

A normal is OK, you don't need a very fast one.

Just check out the requirements on the line6 page.

  • @schehf

Kauf mir in Kürze erst mein erstes Toneport.

  • @ChannelxxAUSTRIAxx01

  • Are you using speakers to hear the sound back? If so, what kind? Im getting the Toneport UX 8 and just need something that will play loud and crisp without getting scratchy

  • well what do you need to make a game vid

  • i hate it sorry not tring to be rude

  • wow this is gay i asked how to make a video not a gay thing im not tring to be rude

  • #O.O

  • cmc4 u be nice now

  • i cant hear =(

  • @aaronuzie4u

    I can.

  • @schehf

  • @ChannelxxAUSTRIAxx01

Wenn du die Gitarren modeling software meinst,

die ist beim line6 toneport ux2 inbegriffen.

Mit dieser steuert man das Gerät.

  • How much does the Line6 cost?

  • The UX2 is no longer available, but it costs 169 Euro.

The new version is named: Pod Farm Studio.

  • @drknockers72 wow calmed down, dont have a heart attack u fagg....

  • What are you talking about?! He uses this to make his videos! So shut the F*** up! Just because he's a genious at what he's doing and you're one big screw up!

  • Actually, it does. He makes guitar videos. So STFU or GTFO.

  • Hi

Whats the name of the song at 0:50 ?

    Nice Vid

  • In Flames - Evil In A Closet.

  • @schehf srry for asking but whats the 2 tunnings that in flames uses on guitar

  • Normal C and Dropped A#

  • @schehf im sure u saw my other comment on you Zombie Inc cover but i honestly think since Jasper had to leave In Flames and if you managed to try out for them you would make it. Thats how good i think all you covers are

  • @schehf Are you Sweedish? :)

  • @GeetarGuy101

    No, german.

  • hey, how are u? can u tell me whats the config for your bass 03 tone?

  • where do thay sell the stsaf

  • hey schehf, i got a fast track pro, mmm is it like your tone port??? i got a problem, the latency, but anayway, can i use the same program with it???

  • I don't know fast track pro, but gearbox is a special software only used with the line6 toneport..

  • Do you have latency with fast track. when using asio? I have it too (Fast track Ultra, the same with more ports i think), but no latency....

  • yes, is prettyu shitty, i got a win vista 32 bits laptop and well it wasn't what i expected, i'm gonna try with a mac, i think you got one, hehehe so thats why you don't have problems with it

  • GODDAMNIT! The pod is EXACTLY what I needed for recording and the asshole at Guitar Center insisted on selling me a Spider Valve. I love the Spider Valve but the money would have been better spent on a POD and something else!

    Oh well.

  • it sucks from start to the end!!who will gona get that thing for a video?!!?

  • it helps for recording

  • so if i understood right, with this tone port ux2 thing, you conect the guitar to the pc, and then is like having all pedals lots of amps and everything yes? thats awsome!!!

srry im so noob in those tech things, normally i play my electric guitar totally unplugged,,,,but if i get one of those....not anymore

    : =)

  • Exactly. Look it up on the line6 homepage to learn more.

  • toneport is a external sound card able to plug guitar, bass and microphone. i can't really say i like gearbox but toneport is very useful. i have UX1 model and it helped e a lot. its a shame my gearbox has so little stuff for bass. about buying more models, out of the question. for that id prefer using my amp :P

  • thnks, that ux2 sounds great and schehf is awsome

  • i use my web cam to make vids

  • more like phrog801's video

  • how i make youtube video on my computer not with a cama

  • hyper cam2

  • Camtasia Studio

  • with camtasia (recommended) not hypercam

  • @TheRealTallenh i wanna kno the same thing so i can make vidz for black ops

  • @jeano212 the best way to record game footage is with programs such as CamStudio or Fraps. CamStudio is free but Fraps isn't. Fraps is 1000% better, quality wise and ease of use.

  • how do u make vids on youtube?

  • umm that kool but i wanna no how to like post mmv or sumthin mmv = maplestory music vids btw so i wan wonderin if u could help me on that thanks

  • Hi!

How come Power Pack costs $99.99 for Pod Studio UX2 but only $49.95 for GX, KB37 and UX1?

Power Pack is the same for all the Pod Studio models right?

Sounds strange that you should have to pay more for an add-on when you have the most expensive Pod Studio!?

    Thanks in advance

  • Sorry, no idea.

  • what software is that? did you get it with your line6? how much was the line6?

  • If you mean the gearbox software, yes it comes with the line6 toneport.

With this you control the sound.

The Toneport ux2 costs 169 euro,

there is a new version out now.

  • I jutst bought it, all that crap works with ux2 go for it its chepaer, its just a flaw in there pricing i guess.

  • What's the name of the song at the beginning?

It's just amazing... keep on with your vids schehf!!.

I was wondering if anyone has tried the Pod Xt... it's supposed to have the powerpack included.

  • The pod xt only has the FX-junkie pack.

  • You sure? cause I've been checking line 6 site for a week now and it does have the powerpack just like the xt pro, the pod xt live has the powerpack and the Fx-junkie.

By the way, do you know the name of the song at the beginning?

  • Oops you're right. The powerpack isn't even mentioned on the box or on the product page. Only on that chart thing I guess. And de pod xt is awesome (I have the pod xt live) but the pod x3 is even more awesome :D It has all those model packs + some bass and vocals stuff + you can use 2 instruments at the same time.

And the song at the beginning is probably something he wrote and recorded himself.

  • how much is the pod x3 live

  • I don't know, never played with it.

  • if i have a pod x3. does it do the same thing as the toneport?

  • The Pod X3 is for live.

    The toneport is for recording,

it is a soundcard as well.

  • how do i make a youtube video with sound? my computer wot let us hear our vidos

  • ive made my own song and im puttin it on

its gunna be called the Taliban Song

it is a rip off version of the gummy bear song :D

  • what did you was the program for recording guitar was?

  • 2:58 funky town

  • hey, i have gearbox and am wondering what are your EQ settings and if you use any of the effects? I'm trying to get that In Flames sound and am having trouble.

  • It is not so much the EQ, it is the used amp.

I bought the powerpack addon and use the line6 lunatic amp.

a bit of chorus in there.

  • Alright thanks, im going to buy that.

  • is there a delay when you strum the guitar..does the sound come immediately?

  • The toneport has a latency of 33ms, so hardly noticeable.

  • I had that problem when i connected my guitar to the computer, you need to get an audio driver and lower the latency

  • Hi Schehf, I have the Toneport KB37 and the Gear Box but I have only a few guitar amps, how can I get others?

    I realy thank your help

  • hi schehf!

  • I use alot of guitar effects with my harmonica this will be alot of fun to get this Thanks i like some of your tunes

  • What is the name of the software mixing program(s)?

Can i use it with another interface?

    I have a m-audio.

  • That is steinberg Cubase. If your interface has an asio driver, it works.

  • Okay thanks:)

  • can you record with this and make and mp3 for a band demo

  • of course

  • sick

  • You strum hard! :D

  • Powerpack. Das ist der Line6 Lunatic.

  • Hi Schehf

    DAnke fuer deine Antwort.

  • Hi Schehf.

Also wenn du was hören willst, mußt du ihn an deine Stereo Anlage anschließen, oder PC Boxen.

  • how do you make videos on this garsh darn site

  • Nice vids ! You are great guitar player ! Do you know does toneport GX have exactly same software like this in your video ?

  • They only differ in the hardware.

  • OKkay ^^Fixed . Buyed a Normal Cable and Connected to HIFI/aux ^^ No problem no freezes . now okay everything ty the help . and GL in Music Make^^

  • Oki . Thank you ^^

  • Ah . Ok Ty . :) I Try d it . But Help pls :/

I Connect a Headphone to Phone out or analog outs . it is ok i hear the guitar . ok

2nd step i connected my PC Speakor CENTER/Swoofer to Analog 1,2 or Phones . and My PC die :P i disconnect and no problem . i Connect again my PC Freeze again . :/ why ? Any idea :/?

  • Sorry, can't help you.

    Try the line6 support.

  • So.. Dont Playing guitar Sound on PC . and i have just an USB cable .

I Need to Connect With analog outs for sound ? :/ PC Dont Have sound with just an usb cable connect?

  • With the toneport you need the analog outs to hear something.

The toneport is an usb soundcard.

So the sound goes from your guitar connected to the toneport to the computer.

And sounds from your computer goes to the toneport.

To hear it, you have to connect a headphone or the analog outputs to some speakers.

  • Hello Schehf .Can you help me a littlebit ? :/ Today i -Buyed a Line6 Toneport UX1 . eeehm . The Guitar Sound dont playing in PC ? Just with a USB Cable .

I Need to connect with analog outs ? ow wtf ? :/

  • that really should come with the metal shop, sounds better then all the metal shop ones :(

  • Yes, I tested the metal shop, didn't like one amp.

  • What kind of sound card do you have installed on the computer you've got that Line6 software installed in? Is it expensive?

  • No soundcard, the toneport is the soundcard.

  • Really? I'm considering picking up a TonePort, seeing the success you've had with it. I also have Sonar Home Studio XL, so if I can record directly into that and edit songs in that program, I'd love to, rather than using the 8-track my band and I have been using.

Your videos really inspire me to try and follow a career with production or recording, or perhaps even a sound engineer.

  • But the toneport can only record 2 tracks at once.

  • Is there a way to record a track or two, then import them to another recording software, like Cakewalk or Sonar?

  • The toneport is not a recording software.

It is a soundcard and a amp modeler.

So you need a additional recording software to record the things you play.

There are just 2 stereo outputs of the gearbox software to record.

So you can record 2 individual things at once.

  • Ohhh, I just misunderstood what you meant when you said you can only record two tracks. Yeah, I have a recording software already, so it should be fine.

  • whats that green amp your using? I have have the metal shop add on.

  • Thats the line6 lunatic, included in the powerpack addon.

  • That was perfect video man! i will buy this little bastard :D 5stars

  • would i have to buy those red and white plugs cause mine didnt come with those....?

  • Thats TRS cables to connect the toneport to my speakers. They are surely not included.

  • they arent included with the toneport, but they come with most monitor sets i believe.

  • nice

  • how do you get so many bass in your guitarsound? here i hear the same sound that i have, but on the covers your sound sounds deeper.

  • the tone port picks up so many picking inconsistencies, notes that shouldn't be their, which drives you practice more

  • so how tired do you get of ppl asking the same question of toneport working with no amp lol

  • Very, cause they could get infos at the line6 site too.

They asked me stuff before even looking at the real product or the manufacturer.

  • How much is that combo of TOne Port and the program that comes with it? how much does it cost to buy that setup?

  • No combo, just the toneport, software used in this video is included. 170 Euro.

  • ill go convert that to canadian dollars. Thank you! much appreciated :) Youre an extremely talented musician.

  • 170 Euro

  • at 0:40 you say sound system at those "strings" sorry i don't know what the english word is. but you get that with the toneport or do you need to buy it??

  • strings ? I just say where to connect the toneport to your speakers. I call it sound system.

  • ohh (: thanks alot!!

my english isen't so good ;)

  • Hi Schehf, I have a question. the Toneport UX2 have some software for guitar amp included?

  • The toneport is a guitar amp modeler with many amps. Software included if you play through it.

  • guitar of course

  • can you tell me any free programs for recording and editing????

  • Sorry, No.

  • audacity, Kristal... google them

  • Hey there! What exact settings do you have the guitar at? I've got the UX2, and i'm using the Line 6 Insane setting with a screamer overdrive, but i want something more like your sound.

    =)

  • where can i buy? like what kinda software, what are their names?

  • Thats the gearbox software included in the line6 toneport products.

  • Hi Schehf! I am buying Toneport this weekend. I am on a budget though - dont know if there is alot of difference between Ux1 and UX2 versions of it?

  • UX1 has only one Mic input and no 48 V Phantompower for condenser mics.

  • Danke schon!

  • is the gearbox software included when you buy the toneport? i think its a very cool gear.

  • Sure, but you can buy additional amp packages.

  • Hey Chris, Do you use other modelers to get your tone (revaler, amplitube etc.) or just gearbox software & plugins? And how does the toneport sound for vocals?

  • I use a modeler, the gearbox software.

No further plugins on the guitar sound.

The toneport is OK for vocals.

The mic preamps are not very good.

  • I was thinking about buying this can you change the tuning with the program without tuning your guitar?

  • Nope.

  • have u got an expansion pack ?

  • Yes, the powerpack.

  • Bist du ab und zu in Regensburg? Wo arbeitest du eigentlich? Du hast bestimmt was mit Musik zu tun )))

  • Manchmal, weil mein bruder dort wohnt.

Ich bin Audio Engineer in Passau.

  • is it possible to hook the toneport through your cab withought micing it? like with speaker leads or somthing?

  • I don't know what you mean. Why putting the toneport through a cab ? It is an amp modeler with cab emulation. if you prefer real amp and cab. You need a mic.

  • Hey Men I just want to know why you buy the powerpack if you doing metal. What's the amplifier modler you use for doing the in flames cover??

    And whats the setting

    Thx

  • I tested the metal shop, didn't sound good.

Tested the powerpack, tried the line6 lunatic amp, sounded great.

  • hey, for hearing my sound, i just plug a guitar cable through headphones in front of toneport into a connector and that goes into my mic input in soundcard... but i see you have something different setup... from the back? does it make a difference in quality at all?

  • No, you plug your guitar in the instrument input of the toneport. Connect it via usb to your computer. Start the gearbox software, adjust your sound.

Connect the toneport to your speakers. Thats it.

The toneport is a usb soundcard, so why don't use it that way.

  • my tobeport does not record or play through my speakers just through USB. it needs to connect to my sound card... so what is your setup in the back with the white and red cables?

  • If you select the toneport driver as standard windows soundcard and recording soundcard.

Connect the Outputs of the toneport to your speakers. It works.

    That how I do it.

  • okay. where do i go to set all this up? to make the sound for playing and recording to same just through USB.. what do i do to make this happen?

  • Read the manual

  • also, could you tell me what you use the 2 white and red chords in the line input on the back on toneport for?

  • I use an external mixer and go in the toneport here.

  • Hey i just wanted to know how good the ux2 is.

And would it work if i just had the guitar and computer to plug it into without having the other sound equipment?

  • Of course.

All you see in this video is included with the toneport.

  • Are you using the Line6 TonePort GX?

Because I found one on Gak costing £37 pounds.

Do you get all the software with the TonePort GX including the Recording, filming and video editing. Or do i have to buy them seperate.

And do you ahve the drum editor on the TonePort, or is it just for the guitar and bass.

The reason why i'm asking these questions, is because i want one, and i'm new to the guitar gear.

  • This is the toneport ux2, if you don't need Mic Inputs, the gx is the one for you.

The toneport software includes only the gearbox software to configure your sound. Ableton live is also included for recording. But I don't use it.

    Film editing is not included.

The drum editor is from cubase. The drumsound is the vst instrument Toontrack ezdrummer.

Both have nothing to do witht the toneport.

  • I want a toneport that will take mic's because i want to do vocals aswell as recording bass and guitar. It says in the GX description on gak music that it has a mic input.

    So it's best to get.

    1. A TonePort GX

    2. Cubase SX 3

Does Cubase have Drum Editor. Because there would be no point getting ezdrummer, if Cubase as the drum editor feature.

I don't need video recording, as i want to make my own somgs in audio format.

But it would be nice in having the video feature.

  • You can plug a mic in the line input of the gx, but I would not recommend that.

Buy the ux1, if you need phantom power for a condenser mic, you need the ux2.

Cubase has the drum editor and in controls samplers or vst instruments with

    that midi track.

There is a drum synth included, but it sounds grap.

If you want to hear good drums, you need

a sampler or vst drums like: addictive drums or ezdrummer.

You can import videos in cubase, but you can't edit them.

  • Why wouldn't you recoment that i plug a mic in the input of the GX, What would happen if i do?

I think i would get the UX2, with Cubase.

I might get Addictive Drums or Ezdrummer. Depends how much money i got.

But so far i think i'll stick with the UX2 and Cubase, considring it has drum sounds on there.

I won't be doing much video editing, i'll be doing it as audio, so then i can burn it on a CD.

  • if you're going to plug your mic into the GX, that'd be like plugging your mic into an amplifier. If you want to go cheap, but also vocals, get the UX1. You can use Audacity, a free program, for recording, and theres a bunch of free drum programs out there. For every pay2use software, theres always a free alternative. Hope this helped.
