I think that the name "Ola Podrida" comes from the Spanish "Olla Podrida", which is a Spanish stew made from pork and beans (in French: "Pot-purri"). However, "ola" is misspelled, so it literally means "wave".
@anlaar i think it comes from a wave (in spanish ola) that it's call podrida, but i'm from spain and I never heard something about this kind of meal, so i think and i listen somewhere that it comes from a wave.
