While a couple of items might be American, I suspect that the bulk of your findings are actually British. Is the dig site near the Arnhem bridge? The round disk quick release mechanisms, while presently used by the American Airborne , were only used by the British during WWII. In fact because the Americans used a much more complicated release device at that time, it caused many Paratroopers to drown during the Normandy drop!
Nicely preserved, most be the best time to feel ever grateful for finding these pieces. Very well done on the clean up on the parts and made it workable once again. I had to subscribe to you, made my day. Great damn job!

@Anton01121983 Thanks man, op een goede manier schoonmaken is indd lastig. Met munten moet je zeker voorzichtig zijn. Meestal is even wassen onder de kraan al voldoende, dan drogen en een laagje bijenwas er over. Nooit schuren of poetsen, dat wordt er nooit mooier op maar zover was je zelf natuurlijk ook al ;-) groeten
