One of of my favourite tracks, this has been with me for most of my life, first heard it as a child as the theme to a BBC medical drama about a county doctor the program was titled Owen MD, searched for this music for years, I think it is still available on Old Gold label, that is where I found it in the late 70's thank you again, do not know where my old 45 is now, was thinking about this beautiful music just this morning lovely to hear it again, I must look for it on CD thanks for sharing

Wonderful, relaxing, warm music. I have heard this song for years and never knew the name until I used my soundhound application on my phone and held it up to the speaker at work today while it was playing.. Awesome!!!!

Superb!!! I fell in love with this tune at a very early age when my Mum bought the 45 record of it when it was in the charts...I still have and play it now!

It was used as the theme tune to a UK TV series called 'Owen MD'

It has to be one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written!

I always choke up at around 1:43 so many memories!

@88GTi I totally agree with you. We had the 45 in our house when I was a child too, and I loved it so much I stole it when I left home! I still have it but sadly no longer have a turntable to play it on. It is a gorgeous piece of music that makes me emotional, teary, and still evokes the same images in my head that it did when I was a child. Thank you daholan a million times for putting this on YouTube so that it can be heard again and again.

Since I first commented I've been remembering my Mums old 'Ultra' record player from my childhood.

It had wooden sides and a black vinyl top with red inside.

I called my dear old Dad and he found it in a very sorry state in their loft.

Luckily he was a Radio repair man in the 60 & 70s and he brought it back to full health!!

I collected it tonight...Got home...Played this tune...Burst into tears of happiness...Then saw your comment...haha!!! :)

I feel like a kid again...Currently got a stack of 45's playing one after the other as only good old fashioned record players can...Currently listening to 'Windmill in Old Amsterdam' by Ronnie Hilton...You can't beat the oldies from your childhood! :)
