  • Godfather 3 sucked so bad... oh man that ending was pure shit.

  • @miamimagicians lol well The Godfather 3 isn't that that bad, it's bad compared to the first two that's for sure. and the ending was a bit cheesy and theatrical but i thought it was interesting. I did like some moments in the film but overall it just doesn't compare what so ever.

  • @stache05 I hated the Godfather 3 so much. I was trying to lose weight so I was watching dvd's in the heat sona/steam room at my gym. So I watched the first 2 movies in the steam room no problem. Sweating and all, time flew by so fast. I litterally couldn't stand watching G3 at all, its the most boring movie i have ever seen. and WTF is up with the ending him dying with puppies wtf!

  • @miamimagicians lol damn man you were in a sona for 9 hours? lol yea the ending is pretty over the top and not good at all but oh well, i dont really like watching GF3 at all lol

  • Great video. I purchased the Coppola Restoration Box set and noticed that certain scenes were cut out and edited (especially for the single disc version of 'Godfather 2'!). Needless to say, I returned this new box set to Amazon ASAP. The original box set reigns supreme!! P.S. I also have the 'Godfather SAGA', which presents all 3 movies together chronologically on 5 DVDs. THIS is what Coppola should've done instead of releasing the hacked up restoration box set.

  • @seand67 what really? i've seen Part II so many times and i never noticed anything missing from it, what's missing exactly? and i had no idea that they had The Godfather Saga on DVD where did you get it? i've been wanting to see it, i recently picked up the Saga on Laserdisc, but i dont have a laserdisc player lol

  • @stache05 One Glaring hack job on this 'restoration' took place RIGHT AFTER Vito's Mother finds her dead Son Paulo. Before you can blink, she & young Vito are marching toward the Don's mansion. There's more, but I don't feel like typing and will be returning this hack job to Amazon and get my original box set back. No wonder there are so many cheap used copies. As for my Godfather Saga, a good friend transferred & cleaned up the original VHS tapes, transferred them to DVD and sent me copies.

  • @seand67 wow, i had no idea, it's weird cuz i've seen it so many times, i've even seen the actual 35mm film print and it always looked the same. that's weird. and that's pretty awesome, about transferring the VHS copy, one question i had about that, is how is the aspect ratio? is it still in a 1.85:1? or is it 1.33:1?

  • @stache05 Yeah, seeing the 3 Godfather movies as the 'Saga' is a different experience for sure. It's a 'full screen' transfer so I guess the aspect ratio is 4:3.

  • @seand67 oh ok, i always wondered that, i've seen bits and pieces of the Godfather Saga back in the day when AMC would show it, and i remember them showing a lot more of Hyman Roth in the 20's so i always wanted to see what else they cut out from the saga.

  • @stache05 RIGHT, it was a PLUS seeing more of Hyman Roth. At any rate, a lot of people aren't happy with this 'Restoration' set, and the fact that a TON of them are available for bargain bin prices should be a sign for Mr.Coppola. Release the COMPLETE 'Godfather Saga' next time!!

  • @seand67 lol yea i really would love to see a blu-ray version of the Godfather Saga hell even the DVD would be great lol

  • Part 2 is just in another level.

  • @squerintain I definitely agree with you, Part II is a masterpiece on it's own

  • 2pac's gone a bit chunky... lol

  • @EastCoast90s 2pac? lol um yea

  • @stache05 only joking mate, i like ur vid. i appreciate people who still like such classics like the godfather or scarface today, most of the films that come out nowdays are just shit

  • @EastCoast90s lol it's all good, but to be honest i do need to lose weight, no joke lol. The Godfather will always be one of my fav movies. and a lot of the movies that have come out recently can never really compare to any of the classics lol

  • @stache05 true that. i would luv 2 see more films like the godfather, scarface, goodfellas or taxi driver (im into gangster films lol) and most of the movies that come out now are too science fiction. american gangster was prolly the last good gangster film.

  • @EastCoast90s oh yea i definitely agree with you. American Gangster was a instant classic but this year The Gangster Squad will be coming out and i hope it's gonna be another classic.

  • @stache05 hey mate i got mine limited edition godfather trilogy steelbook set yesterday, wen i make a vid about it ill send u a link n u can check it out cuz i been looking on yt and there aint any good reviews of the one i have.

  • @EastCoast90s hell yes man please let me know when it's up, i'd love to see it

  • @stache05 just waiting for my new ipod touch to arrive as i have no other camera to record with lol :)

  • @EastCoast90s awesome, just make sure you turn the camera horizontal so that it fills the whole screen when you upload it

  • @stache05 i tried filming horizontal before n when i try to watch it on the actual ipod its sideways so i end up holding it upside down to see it properly, if u get what i mean??

  • @EastCoast90s oh yea so you're gonna upload it straight from the ipod? or from a computer cuz if you do it on the computer you can turn the vid so that it'll be straight but i do know what you mean

  • the first is the best

  • @Icelandrobot Yea Part I is really good

  • I finally saw all three and personally I thought the first one and the third were the best in my opinion. Not that the second lacked or anything, but I just think the rise and fall of Micheal is best personally. The second is fantastic, don't get me wrong.. but the first and last just seem to contrast and compare much better. I mean Micheal is trying to help his family in both and contains that innocence in his younger years and gains wisdom as he ages. I love the Vito flashbacks though.

  • @Mcdovin1 wow, i've actually never heard that argument before, because many many people "Hate" the third one, but now upon reading your reasoning, that actually makes a lot of sense and now i feel like i need to watch part III again. I totally respect your opinion, this is the type of convos i like having because i love comparing and contrasting peoples reasons for the love of the films. by far yours is unique and i can totally see your point :D

  • @stache05 Thanks, after going on such a journey I actually teared up at the end because of how tragic it all was and how the final conclusion was reached. A man has lost all his family all because he wanted to honour his family but sacrifices had to be made. I can see why people strongly dislike the third and for that I respect their opinion but then again I did watch all three of them around the same time frame. My favourite film is either Goodfellas/Casino or A Clockwork Orange. I love FILM.

  • @Mcdovin1 yea i can see your point, it really is an emotional ride. and i must say you have great taste in film, i also love Goodfellas/Casino and A Clockwork Orange. I even went through a phase when i wasn't sure which film i liked better Goodfellas or Casino. but i made up my mind and came to the conclusion that I found more things to love in Goodfellas, but Casino is a so close too.

  • some one at my school says this series sucks...........some ones gonna be sleeping with the fishes

  • @ww5512345 haha no way, yea someones gettin whacked fugetaboutit lol

  • I've never watched this movie, after watching scarface I thought it was the best gangster movie in the 80s and became my favorite movie of all time. now almost 2012 I am thinking of watching this movie via netflix because many people are saying you have to watch it because it is so good. Is this movie really that good?

  • @k00LGuY671 you know to be honest I use to be the same way and i thought Scarface was the greatest movie ever, but looking back at it now, it's actually kinda cheesy and the acting is pretty bad for the most part by everyone. The reason Scarface is such a success is because of how over the top it was. If you really wanna see Al Pacino in one of his best roles Please check out The Godfather, especially part II it's the best of the trilogy in my opinion

  • @stache05 I just finished part one of this movie and now watching part 2, wow man the acting is super realistic it really captures the world in the 1940s, very good movie, half way through part 2 and I am hooked. I can't believe I missed out on this excellent film.

  • @k00LGuY671 I'm so happy man, they're amazing. just to be fair, part III sux lol but part II is the best. I'm really glad you're expanding your film knowledge and not to bash on Scarface but I think this is one of Pacinos Best performances

  • What I love about part II (even though I love the whole trilogy, I am obsessed with that movie. I watched it for the first time about a year ago and since then have watched it about ten times), is the scenes with young Vito Andolini. The 'you broke my heart'-scene is great, but my favorite scene in that movie is when they Vito and Clemenza go and steal the carpet :P I actually got a whole book on amazon which is the entire screenplay of the first movie, with commentary from the cast and such.

  • @SonniesOriginals I agree with you, i love all the scene when Vito is young. but watching it 10 in a year, that's truly amazing. i did the same when i first saw them. I loved that scene when Clamenza and Vito steal that carpet. and that book sounds amazing, whats the name of it?

  • @stache05 If you type in 'The complete annoted godfather' into Amazon.com you can find it. I bought it secondhand in hardcover, and it was in amazing condition, like it was brand new. I think there's one available on amazon right now, I'll send you the link so you can find it. It really is an amazing book, taught me a lot of in depth details I didn't know and has some deleted scenes and stuff... And some pictures of pages from Coppola's notebook he took with him on to set! It's amazing :)

  • @SonniesOriginals that's awesome, thank you so much, i'll definitely be picking that up

  • you got some talent drawing don't fool you're self.

  • @BigGerm97 thanks man, i drew them back when i was in high school so i may not be as good anymore, but i think i'll give it a try

  • @stache05 you shud make a top 30 or 40 like cinnemassacre

  • @fllicksick lol maybe, if anything i can do a top 20 for sure

  • @stache05 wow how ironic haha.

is there any posibility of you naming off your top 10?

  • @fllicksick i might do a video, cuz it's actually a really hard list to come up with, but i'll make it

  • @stache there are alot of close ones but its...believe it or not...The Lion King

  • @fllicksick haha funny you should say that, i was just watching that earlier today

  • @stache05 i see. thats interesting. i like to know these things.

for me, they're both tied for #7

  • @fllicksick now i'm wondering... whats your number 1?

  • @stache05 yah i can understand tht. the first 2 godfather movies are like the first 2 alien movies. anyone can choose either as their favorite for their own reasons. for me, both godfathers are tied in my top100. if u made atop 100 list, where would u put the godfather movies?

  • @fllicksick lol well i'd actually put them in my top 10, but i would put part II as my number 1, and i wouldnt put part I in my top 10 because i wanted to have more room in my top ten, if anything I should say the Godfather Trilogy is in my top ten if that makes sense lol

  • @stache05 well it was first part 1, then it was part 2, now part 1 & 2 are tied. theyre both just too amazing!!

  • @fllicksick lol i was the same way but i'm more inclined to Godfather Part 2 i absolutely love everything about it.

  • this is how I felt when I first watched them

  • @fllicksick awesome, which is your favorite?

  • You hate godfather 3 -__-

  • @ilikepancakes555 I dont hate it, but i dont think it should have been made. Part II was perfect, and the series should have been untouched after that, in my opinion anyway

  • @stache05 so you do like godfather 3?

  • @ilikepancakes555 If this wasn't part III then it would be an ok movie, but since it's part of a saga and the first 2 were so beautifully crafted then i dont care for part III at all

  • Aha, I went back to re-watch this, your out right adoration for The Godfather is just so cool and funny at the same time. "Look at it, it's just beautiful", aha. Oh and the drawings are pretty good, especially since you say you're not an artist :P Anyway loved the review...again! :D

  • @GoneWiththeWindLove haha thank you, i really am passionate about these films and i have to re-make this video because i just picked up something new from the Godfather and it's amazing can't wait to show it off

  • Hi, nice work!!..talk about crazy!!..lol..

Anyway, I'm also a big Godfather saga fan and I'm from India!!..imagine that!! hahaha..

One of my fav scene is from G2...the one where little Vito is singing an old Italian folk song inside quarantine in Ellis Island...you can see the statue of Liberty outside the window...then the grand Organ Piano comes in to little Anthony's communion service in 1958 Nevada.....GETS ME CHILLS EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!

  • @jhaokip23 thanks man, it's crazy that this vid is over a year old already and still gets hits i love it :P The Godfather is loved by the universe so i think it's awesome that you're from India. as soon as you started describing the scene from Part II i already had it playing in my head lol crazy.

  • @stache05 Hi i would like to know what is the difference between the Coppola restoration boxset and the previous normal Black dvd boxset ?

  • @afgmusix Well the new Restored box set is exactly that, the first two film were completely re-colored and completely restored to look the best it's ever looked, and this process was overlooked by mr. Coppola himself so he approved of it, it also was overlooked by the Director of Photography, and they're all happy with it, it also has some new special features including the restoration process, and it's really interesting on how they made that happen, The films have never looked better

  • You got the voice amazingly in the beginning! :) I loved your review!

  • @Mikaykay009 thank you glad you liked it lol :D

  • I think its a shame that black familys are not as close as the italian and hispanic familys in america or maybe its just my family. its sad ether way

  • @setheroth188 well i dont know if that's always true, because i know a lot of hispanic families who are not close at all, i guess it just depends on the people involved

  • mine worked just fine

  • i was interested in buying the godfather complete collection on blu ray this is the set where all three films are in one box set on blu ray however 5 reviews have stuck me saying disc 2 doesn't work on the ps3 so can someone please tell me if yours does/doesnt work thanks.

  • @SNiiPERoR3COiiL i can't really say because i dont have a PS3 but i've seen the entire collection on my blu-ray player and it worked just fine, but i honestly couldnt tell you about it working on a PS3

  • I prefer 2 as well, for the same reasons as you do as well =D

my favorite scene is Deniro's murder scene during the festival =D

  • @JustinSuhr4 oh yea thats a classic scene, it really feels like it was the 1920's too i love how the recreated the era.

  • @stache05 most definitely, and my favorite thing about it is all the symbolism that happens before that, especially that statue of Jesus and how it shows all the money right below him

  • @JustinSuhr4 i know, it's a remarkable scene, it's really amazing with all the different symbolic notations in there.

  • @stache05 just incredible

  • I'm 15, and I REALLY want to see them!

  • @AsifLicious they're amazing, especially part II, although they may be kinda slow paced but the story is so compelling.

  • i love the improvising at the very beginning. it was just perfect! :D

  • @Alex050796 haha thanks, i've been working on my Brando :P

  • i really wanna see the godfather im only 11 but i wan see it so bad!!

  • @gingercracker lol well i didnt see it until i was about 16 lol so if you watch it you'll be well advanced :D

  • @stache05 i have never seen it should i? i own part one of it no other parts

  • @stache05 i am 19 i have never seen it i own part 1 have not seen it yet should i watch it?

  • @amyroseff

I am 14 and I've seen it, it's fucking amazing!

  • @amyroseff oh you definitely need to watch it at least once in your lifetime, it's truly a great film, if you do like the first i highly recommend the second one, it's my absolute favorite out of the trilogy.

  • part 1 was my favourite

  • @TheGREATEST95 Part 1 is a classic

  • hey guys...im 13yrs old now..and i love this trilogy..but there is something what i don't understand : where is Tom Hagen gone in the godfather 2?

  • @Thechamminator This is my fav Trilogy and Tom Hagen is in the second one, he's not in the 3rd though, cuz he died between the 2nd and 3rd film.

  • @Thechamminator Tom Hagen is actually acting don in the 2nd one when Mike is in Cuba!!! And the scene with Pat Geary and Tom Hagen is probably the top 5 moments of the movie!! Oh and when hes with Frank Pentangeli before he commits suicide in prison!!! Tom is my favorite character of the trilogy!!!

  • @Thechamminator Because the actor refused to play in the 3'd instalment cause he thought it was selling out, which pretty much was the case.

  • @stefanstalex ahh ok thx dude

  • Nice review :D

First one is probably my favorite, the second one made me sad, and the third one...I just hated Sofia Coppola :P

You should do a Scarface review!

  • @GoneWiththeWindLove yea, Sofia Coppola is a horrible actress lol she should stick to Directing and that Scarface review should be a good idea

  • @stache05 She was and luckily she is, thank God! You really should do a Scarface review, you'd probably do a good job of it ;P You have awesome taste in films!

  • @GoneWiththeWindLove Thank you, you also have a great taste in films lol :)

  • Nice review. You're a pretty good artist too.

  • @Sasuke90000000 thanks :D

  • Great video bro, you're definitely the man, but for real Godfather 3 was an embarrassment compared to the first one.

  • @cyrousg1 lol yea it was, although there are some thing i did like about it, but not nearly as much as i LOVE part I and II

  • Wohow, nice review man! This vid deserves a lot more vieuwers!I'm also a fan of ganstermovies,my first gangstermovie was : once upon a time in america, what a movie! And the scene that the little kid gets killed is my favorite scene of all movies, thx for uploading this vid.

  • @Thechamminator I love Once Upon a Time in America, Sergio Leone is a mastermind thanks for the kind words

  • your posters in the backround hella beast

  • @aead4 thanks man lol

  • Marlon Brando is NOT in Part One for only a little bit. And this is not a review of the trilogy at all. What on earth was said about part one? what was said about part three except that you didnt like it, why didnt you like it? what was the point copolla was tryin to make with part 3? what grabbed you about part one? who was your fav character? what effect has the trilogy had on your life? Nothing is really said in this review.....

  • @sirpickles I was never a really good reviewer but i completely agree with you, i think some of the questions you're asking me will help me make better reviews so thank you man, i honestly mean that. I guess this vid is more of me showing my Godfather collection more than anything lol, but i think by answering some of the questions you're asking it will make for a better review in the future :) thank you for the feedback and the honesty

  • @stache05 You know what you are awesome you take criticism really well. Very proffesional man ;)

  • @Titch868 thank you, i really appreciate that. I honestly dont think he was trying to be mean or anything but very honest and i can always appreciate an honest comment. and thank you for the feed back as well :D

  • I've never seen the Godfather

  • @axxaxaxx i highly recommend them :-D especially the first two

  • Love the review, also good video quality. ;)

    Cheer! :D

  • @Sergeantspoon thanks man, i'm glad someone liked my review :P lol and the vid quality could have been better just needed more direct light, but i used the Flip Ultra HD, it's cheap and very portable :-D

  • part one is my favorite movie of all time. I also LOVED the flashback scenes in part two with De Niro as young Vito. But my favorite scene in part two is when Michael reconciles and hugs Fredo at their mother's funeral. "That's my family Kay, it's not me." Is IMO the best quote of the trilogy, Micheal says it early in part one and that kinda lays out the entire plot of the movie with him slowly becoming the new don.

  • @PSNtheDutchFella i must agree with you 100% although i do prefer part II more but either way they are both classics in my book :)

  • @androconnect yea i actually read the first book and i was actually shocked of how much they left out, especially in the beginning when all the diff people come see the godfather

  • ha ha you just sounded like him aswell LOL ; )

  • @MrGodfather1981 lol thanks, i've been working on my Brando accent :-P lol j/k

  • Hey Stache, great review, Pt 2 is my fave as well. Your fave mob movie of all time would be?

  • @seekah1 wow, thats a hard question, but i think i might have to go between the Godfather 2 and Goodfellas

  • @stache05 Likewise, has to be :)

  • @seekah1 oh yea for sure

  • @aktive07 yea part II is my top 2 favorite movies such a great saga

  • hey man since you like gangster movies you should check out one of my favorites , blood in blood out. if youve seen it let me know what you think about it.

  • @bowdownx3 of course, i love Blood In Blood Out, it's really really good, even though it's 3 hours long, it's the fastest 3 hours, you dont even feel it. Also check out American Me, that's another classic

  • the godfather is good but part 3 was ok

  • @matt11708 yea, i really didnt feel the need to continue the story in part 3, it was unnecessary
