We should not forget, what this mama Stand for. She stood for nature, her people, and Africa. She was killed bcus she was about winning the European on her reparations case. She is not alone, Abiola of the yoruba people in west Africa, Malcom X in America and many other unknown ancestors were all killed bcus they demanded for reparation.
If you truly an African and love Africa carry this message everyday in your heart.
Mama Wangari Maathai, lives forever and bring your killers to ruin..
Wangari is one of Kenya's greatest God given daughter whose light of life's work will shine for times to come. Kenyans must embrace her legacy for a better tomorrow free from corruption and greed the has infested Kenya for a long time.
Years later, as an adult, I had the privilege of meeting you face to face when I worked for an international body in Kenya. Your humality and down-to-earth persona was unworldly, your love for "your green friends" un-equalled. Please Kenyans, let's not let Prof. Wangari's green friends go to the grave with her. Let's make them "OUR GREEN FRIENDS." For the good of our beloved albeit sometimes not so good motherland. Let's love Kenya and make her green and cool, not only 4 Prof but the future too.
Ooiii! What a beautiful, highly educated, down-to-earth Daughter of Kenya. It's almost unbelievable that you are gone. As a child in primary school late 80s/early 90s, we collected seedlings from the chief's camp, where GBM had outposts. Some seedlings are now beautiful indigenous trees, provinding shade, averting soil erosion, etc. Ofcoz when u gallantly gave Moi hell & defended Uhuru Park and Karura, GBM was kicked out of chief's camp BUT THRIVED/S BY A RIVERSIDE CAMP. BRAVO MAMA MITI, RIP.
