Once they fix the communication issues I.E. the commo rose being useless and no VOIP (on PC) BF3 will be very tactical as well. It won't be the same as BF2 because of the destruction and other factors, but I really do enjoy it just as much as the previous Battlefield titles.

Battlefield BC 2 (too much arcade,you can`t lay down) ... No doubt, BF3 and BC2 have good graphics but they possess less strategy and tactics, as the old BFgames. I am no friend of the Frostbite engine, always shoot a hole in the wall is boring and requires less brain. 1.Gameplay than 2.Graphics.
