Tornadoes go anti-clockwise in the Northern Hemisphere. Same for Hurricanes. In the Southern Hemisphere they go clockwise.

@ilovetruffles99 Hydroplaning is caused by a bunch of water turning your car into a water ski on a paved surface. That was just good ol' fashioned 3 inches of rain in 30 minutes. It's a total mud fest and chasing tornadoes under those conditions can get really dirty. I chased an F4 in a ford Ranger on a dirt road that was so muddy that the RFD plastered the side of the truck with wet leaves and blew the tail end into the ditch. It was damn annoying but at least I got within a quarter mile. SCARY

Actually, NW Kansas is not exactly a hotbed of tornadic activity.

They get tornados here and there..and damaging hail too. They have to worry about blizzards more than anything else.

There's just nothing there.....it's a wasteland.

yeah, they don't SEEM bad, that is the key word. they actually kill alot of people. and sometimes, you just can't stay out of the way, and you get trapped. that is the the thing about tornadoes. you cannot predict them like hurricanes or related weather.
