you should use otentika hypertone cream to help the.hyper pigmented part. it has natural ingredients. no hydroq.. however you spell it! (cancer causing agent). it's been working well for me.
I think it is nice, but your complexion is already flawless to me.....however; it does look more made up. Which e.l.f brush is that? I'd love to try that one! Love your vids..thanks!!
Now this one I have tried and for me didn't care for the oil factor after about an hour. This one did well in terms of color matching but you seemed to get a tad bit more coverage with the Maybelline Stay foundation. Loving the comparisons...great series!
I like the formula, but the color is just not for me. I tried it. I also have pigmentation on my chin area and it looked...cakey...made-up...just not natural or as nice as the rest of my face.
I love this one as well.It actually matches the top half of your face perfect and brings the darker lower half evenly with the whole face.I can see it has an oil based.Which is good for the winter season when your skin is dry.Being carmel conplexioned is even difficult as well.lol
I think I like this one the best. Putting it on looks a little light but it blended so well with your total face. I think you may feel "made up" BC the hyper-pigmented part of your face was lightened with it but it looks flawless! I love this one best on you!
I didnt see a whole lot of difference between the three vids...but i like the "fit me"...only because it looked more "polished"...but u can rock any one of the them...all look nice
I like the fit me foundation. I use the 350 but sometimes it looks Ashy so I mix a drop of 355 to add warmth to my face. I like the fit me because it is light coverage and let's the skin show through for an everyday face but it is also very buildable.
I feel like this one compliments your upper half better but gives a grey cast on the lower half, where your face is most pigmented. So maybe you can use the fit me on the upper half and one of the others on the lower half and do a video of the results, please.
AE, I recently had a friend give me a half full bottle of this foundation bC it was too dark for her & I love it for an everyday/cheap foundation. It does build quickly and have yellow undertones, which I need because half of my body is lighter/yellower than my face; it helps even me out. I think you should apply the foundation in a thinner layer. I also use Skin Finish & bronzer after applying. I don't think this foundation will be good in the summer for my ladies who sweat a lot [like myself]!
That's the shade I use, one application was all you needed...you gots so pretty skin anyway...thanks for schooling me about using the brush.....I did not know you can apply it that way....thank you again....
I just a review of the fit me on my blog and I find that it needs to be applied very lightly. That stuff builds up FAST! I wear it daily now, but in a thin layer.
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS! ABOUT THESE FOUNDATIONS.. THE OTHER TWO IS GREAT LOOKING TO ME,, BUT FIT ME IS NOT FOR YOU.. THE OTHER TWO LET YOUR TRUE BEAUTY SHINE THREW THIS ONE COVERS IT UP..
HI AE, thank you for this series... i too have a hard time finding the "right" foundation for my skin tone. Yet, I think this foundation looks great on you, and for "formal" attire this looks special. My other choices are the "Mocha" and then the "Cocoa".
I have hyper pigmentation in the same place! I use elf cover stick in toffee around my mouth and chin then the elf clarifying powder in spice over my whole face. I'm 33 and it took YEARS to find the right coverage. Love your vids sis, you look like Kelly Rowland in this series (it's the hair)!!
I use this one. I used it on my niece first who happens to be the same color as me and I was like this stuff is the bomb! I never found a drug store foundation that works as well as this one. I think for me it works best because I have like a golden undertone to my skin and I have to agree that this looks better than the Revlon. You look more natural!
I use the Maybeline Fit me in 355 and im a NW43 MAC, I love the fit me, its my everyday foundation, it reminds me of the MUFE HD but heavier. Its great now cause its winter time, but I wont be wearing it during warmer seasons. Overall Maybelline is okay in my book this time, the fit me concealer is also veryy good!
So far I like this one better than the revelon. I have a similar skin tone as you and I love the maybelline color stay. Was surprised how well it looked.
heyyyy, so i just watched the two vids, and i think the revlon photoready did a better job. the fit me, looked too much , it looked good, but it did not look natural. its not how you applied it, cuz ive seen you do wonders. i have the same foundation but a lighter tone. i have lighter skin specially during the winter time, and i always felt like MADE UP and heavy wearing it. i think that brand is a very rich formula. but love the vids, and the hair is rockin as always.
Thank you for doing this series. Here in England we don't get a lot of options when it comes to drugstore foundations for darker skin tones. We don't even get The Fit Me foundation! That said, I'm stuck with MAC but I sorta look orange at times depending on which of their foundations I've used. Thanks AE xx
I think it worked well on the cheeks and forehead but it did look a little light in chin area so I'll hve to agree with what you said. I was tempted to try the fit me but my complexion is similar to yours so think I'll pass. Thanks for sharing hope yoy continue this series
I don't like this one as much as the Revlon... I agree, it seems like you had to use more of the FIT to get the coverage and it does not blend into your skin as well. I am glad you did this review because I am so used to using MAC or Lancome that I am too scarred to use these. Thanks
i am SO glad that you did this series. it opens up options to me. when you first put the fit 355 on your hand i was thinking "uhh, that is WAY too light, i guess she's going to show us something that DOESN'T work." much to my surprise, it worked very well. go figure. thanks again.
I know what u mean about the fit me foundation looking like an extra layer of skin...I still use the fit me line but only the concealer and powder. you can barely tell im wearing makeup, it covers blemishes and blends very well with the right color
Forgot to say... I love and hate mixing foundation colors. It takes to long to do foundation when I have to do that. I also have the same problem as you around my mouth and when I wear the lighter shade it tends to get a lil ashy in the darker areas.
@MslittaluvsMakeUP Yea I dont , wont and have never mixed foundations. That is just too much work for me. Im sure if I used some kind of corrector it may help. I just like 1-2-3 DONE lol
I like this one, but the Revlon one... I like that much more. This one would work great in the lighter areas of your face and the Revlon would works best for the darker area on your face, basically the perimeter of your face. The red undertone in the revlov foundation helps to counteract the darkness.
I actually use both the fit men and the photo ready....like you I have hyper pigmentation on the lower half of my face "the beard" I like the photo ready for the t zone areas and fit me for my lower face because I believe it gives a fuller coverage where the 2 meet I blend really well so the red and yellow tones blend to give me a glow....great vid!
I absolutely love wearing Fit Me in 355, but I think that this color may be a tad bit too yellow for you. The PhotoReady was a better match. Either way it goes, you still look fabulous!
the photoready was a better match, maybe mix a little fit me with it to cancel out some of the redness. i actually love revlon colorstay in mocha more. you could alsso include black radiance in your drug store series as well
Sherry Blossom used a darker pressed powder over the foundation to make it work for us darker ladies. I also want to try Costal Scents color adjusters. You could have added red and/or black to make it work for you.
Maybe just a tad too yellow. But, of course, you made it look beautiful! Question: have you ever tried Coastal Scents HD Foundation? I would be interested to hear your review of that make up.
Yep, too yellow. Thought the Revlon mocha blended better. Have you tried Loreal true match? Just curious to know if any other cocoa lovlies have tried those shades.
Thanks for doing a series! Yeah I liked the revlon on you better...that did not seem like it had good coverage so you hado to use a lot. You look beautiful in both though :)
I want to hear the the story of how you got that burn! lol...but I think this yellow undertone looks much nicer on you than the one with the red undertone.
I use the fit me 355 as well and I have the same problem, I feel made-up every time I wear it... I thought it was jt me or that I didn't know how to use it. I'm glad you did this.
I think it you got a little heavy handed with it when you applied foundation the second time (2:35). I think the yellow undertones look much better than the red undertones. Try Loreal Infallible in Sable. It has pretty good coverage.
It was a shade off and you added a little too much on the brush you have very smooth skin so a little would go a long way even after blending the darker areas I saw the face you made lol it felt heavy... Been there regular drug store makeup are heavy for certain brands
Have you ever tried Bare Minerals? You will love it TRUST ME get the full kit set and try it for yourself
Thank you for doing the foundation series. It hard to find the right color for darker skin tones. I used to use Prescriptives prior to them going out of business. I'm now looking for an inexpensive foundation to better fit my pocket book right now. Thanks.
that shade is not your perfect fit... i'd try a color corrector to counteract the grayness or use a deeper shade for your jawline. good video, i've been wondering what drugstore brands to purchase if i ever got too broke to splurge on the more expensive brands
...im very s cared of foundation because people always tell me my skin has very few blemishes so im thinking any kind of makeup will look like "too much"????
Yea. I feel u. That weighted feeling on your face. I have an even darker complexion and choose to go without powder for the simple fact I hate to look like I have makeup on. Maybe a darker shade would work. The only powder that really looked fine on me was the Iman line. Earth shade 7. Very light creme to powder.
I think you may have put on a little too uch, but overall, its good coverage. How does it fel> It looks very light, not too heavy. I think just one coat is plenty you dont need a lot of coverage:-)
I think you put on to much, I have it and use it often. You didn't need as much as you put on. But, it looks really good on you. I love the lipstick on you. Awesome look. Thx for sharing. Punkin
I always thought my skin was too deep for this foundation...I think I'll try it out. Have you tried maybelline's dream nude air foam foundation. Honestly, I don't I would be disappointed but I'm greatly impressed.
Thank you for sharing! I haven't tried the FIT ME yet. I'll check it out. : )
