i love this song. this is the first time iv heard it in about a year and it still gives me shivers. takes me back to the very first time i heard it aswell!!
That's the whole point of shoegazing: just stand there and play. Anyways, their music is pretty amazing and energetic, I personally don't go to a concert to watch the singer jump through hoops.
Too bad, there are no more "up close" videos here on YT... they don't even have a site.
Exactly 99mcnamep. They need to be seen live. I find comments of them looking bored bizarre. Who needs cliched posturing and stage antics? Let the music do the talking, and The Twilight Sad's moves me more than any other band recently. And James is an incredibly intense frontman... see them live and you'll know what I mean!!
yeah, this was the very first video I saw of them. Not the best one, at all. Does NO justice to this song. If you wanna feel the greatness look for one of the more recent ones, where they do an a capella intro that's shivering inducing!
I can't paste a link here, the comment will never get through.
The video I was referring to is actually on the "Related Videos", uploaded by SamantherX and recorded in Moshulu, Aberdeen. There's another fairly recent video from KEXP that is pretty amazing. Both greatly recommended! :)
ah, it kills me to say i missed them here in seattle back in april. this video makes me wish i had gone even more. BAAAAAAAAAH. you're soo lucky to have seen them live.
ha this is the only video i took of the show, because i was frontcenter and it was an incredibly tiny venue, top floor of a bar. i've been caught filming before, and it isn't fun.
so so so good!

They're not bored, they're just very typically shoegaze.

The lead singer was very animated when I saw them a few weeks ago. A great front man, it's a bit limp here.

I get the feeling that these guys are more of a band to "listen to" than a band "you gotta see them live"...
love the songs anyways!
