He's going way to low and will eventually have severe knee issues as he gets older. The ACL is not meant to endure that much strain on a repetitive basis. Only do squats to a seated position!!!!

@mwcarrington You're a fucking idiot. Those are called parallel squats. You're so wrong, they're SO bad for you! I ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS used proper form for squats and nothing every happened. My knees got stronger, legs, everything necessary for good squatting. One day I decided on a 1RM I would try a parallel. It almost popped me a hernia and I couldn't squat for 2 months, and currently I can hardly squat. (This was 2 1/2 months ago.)
