To protect Tibetan culture, have a look at "Horse Riding in 2009 Tibet New Year Celebration". Thx.
Tibet has a lot of huge grasslands and Tibetan loves horse and life of herdsman. Horse riding is Typical Culture of Tibet. The exile has no grasslands and therefore they has no this culture. Since your exile Tibetan has no grasslands and Horse Riding, to protect culture for you, I upload 2 videos for u. Plz support me! THX.
littlefogger, I inadvertently deleted your comment when I tried to thank you for sending it. My apologies. Yes, it was my intention to keep this place nonpolitical. There is so much in the Tibetan culture for us to admire
and appreciate. I am glad that you saw the same Tibet I did and liked the way I presented it.
thank you so much buddy....i'm a tibetan n i have never seen tibet like many other tibetans....but someday i will go there..to tibet.....to my country....
In my younger days all I wanted to go was the WEST After China, Indo China and SEA my whole perspective has changed. I havent been to tHE West in 8 years cos I am still enjoying ASIA. I love the culture, the people and their warmth. Always welcoming and friendly.
I like these pictures for its honesty and warmth. No political jargons, no issues with territory, no religious struggle...etc. Just poeple and their life, ordinary, sincere, and happy.
Yes, by these, I will add and prioritize it to my travel plan while in China. Thx 4 sharing. :->
Cynthia8899, you wont regret it Tibet and in fact the whole of China is about culture and history. When we were held up by traffic high up in the mountain, we were told this is the very same mountain road taken by the Red Army. From one East to West, North to South, you can enjoy the different cultures, dialect, religious practice and the beautiful ehtnic costumes worn by the different ethnic races.
pitmi88 you said "we were told this is the very same mountain road taken by the Red Army" fyi some tibetans are in the red army. tibet fused with china hundreds of years ago. and because china pays billion each year for tibet, they would have this luxory compared to when dalai lama ruled tibet.
That is the Tibet I saw too, the beautiful mountains, lakes, people, temples, monks usually with bright smiles. I have travelled extensively by road all over China and Lhasa is one of my favorite place - so much energy.
pitmi88, appreciated your comments. so, you have also seen the bright smiles of the Tibetan people and their celebration of the traditional culture all over Tibet. Wonderful, isn't it?
Nyimaksung - not just in Lhasa but all other areas in China where Tibetan also resides like Deging, Lugu Lake and towns in the Schechuan province. The little places up in the Tibetan mountains are even more wonderful. The people are poor sure but this scene is similar in all small towns and villages throughout China.
