Sixense™ Razer Hydra FPS Tutorial (ft. CoD: Black Ops)

"Sixense" made a unique praiseworthy invention, but "Razer" made a troublesome cheaply-built end product.

LT trigger is stuck!

I bought my Razer Hydra the day before yesterday and I don't recommend it for its faultiness. Too many people are complaining about many issues ranging from cursor "Jitter" to sticking triggers.

Jitter can be due to other electronic devices - producing electromagnetic field - placed too close to the base station or keeping the controllers far away from the base.

I just received my Razer hydra and I cannot think of anything other than trying to get a refund for this cheaply build piece of crap! Its just unacceptable!!

If its ingame you might have problems with the game recognizing different signals the device is outputting for its buttons, but if you can set it on desktop you can just program those buttons as letters (w,a,s,d) then when ingame, program in your letters. I sometimes have to do that for logitech mice but with it you can make extra buttons work for any game out there.

how versatile is this input device for other softwares? Do you set your controls ingame or is there a desktop controller setup like logitech provides with their mice?

@SammyTessier If I bought an xbox I would have to lower my max settings, (far clip, water, shadows, post processing, textures) not to mention how low the AA would be just to keep from lagging . Also with 512 v-mem how will i ever plan to run the 3 HDTVs i plan on hooking together. No thank you sir, I will stick to my maxed settings with forced 64x-sli AA, and 2.5 gigs vid-ram to keep my tvs fresh. also a controller for fps? no way, gotta have my mouse

I know these -look- controls are based on pc fps gamers, thus the Mouse-like motions. but since i'm a pc/xbox fps gamer, is there a way for me to look using the stick?

@OrosaAsoro You can search razerzone and go to their store to purchase it. It is available in most, if not all, places in the world. It comes bundled with a free copy of Portal 2 and the Razer Hydra's DLC. If you already own Portal 2 though you can give the copy to a friend.
