something cool I found out is if you plug a genesis controller into a VCS/2600 controller port, the genesis controller will work.

absolutely great video!!! i'm a huge fan of atari console 2600 wooden front, and i'm delighted to see this video!! love the 80's!! i finally got my 2600 atari wooden console a few days ago and i feel happy, always wanted it but never could, i had to wait 22 years!! je thanks a lot for posting this videos on youtube!! regards. ariel

Wow, that breakout game had lousy collision detection. Impossible to get the ball properly stuck inside a pack of blocks as it merely flies through them on the way back =/

They function identically the 2600 is just a VCS with a face-lift.
Originally known as the Atari VCS (Video Computer System) the machine's name was changed to "Atari 2600" (from the unit's Atari part number, CX2600) in 1982, after the release of the more advanced Atari 5200.

The Atari 2600 and the VCS are with the Same Name but the Other 2600 is Known as The 2600 Jr. while this one is the Original One(VCS)
