  • The few, the proud, the mascots! Semper fi!

  • Great physical actor and good voice actor.

  • LOL. I always love Doug Jones xDDD hes sooo bubbly for a guy who plays some serious characters ^____^ <3

  • @Protocall13o2 have you checked him out in his new movie, "My Name is Jerry"? He plays a completely different character with a little more happier side! Check it out, it is not available on DVD!

Also, check out our YouTube "Give us your best Jerry Arthur" contest on our channel!! Great opportunity to win some signed prizes from Doug from the movie!

  • Doug Jones should be in the next Batman Movie as a bad guy! I think he sould play the Ridler!

  • @cartoonkeith1 Great idea, he would be a brillant Edward Nigma.

Also, he'd make for a great Pinhead in the upcoming Hellraiser sequel.

  • He is so ADORABLE!!! He seems like a VERY fun guy! I fell in LOVE with Abe!!!

  • I was working on this guy's Air-conditioner who's supposedly good friends with Doug Jones.

  • I love how he's moving with his hands :D

  • GOD DOUG IS SOOOOO HOT!!!!!!!

  • I love the interview because the Inteviewer or "Blunty" he really let Doug Jones talk without interupting him, that's proffesional.

  • @gerry1976 I was thinking the same thing. It's so great to wacth a interview where the interviewer aint shooting questions at the actor like crazy. But when he talks or ask question it's polite and clever.

  • @Wowbagger86 I just met him today!!! He is amazing...he is so nice!!!

  • @AceOfTricks007 Did you se Blunty or Doug? They both seem very nice.

  • @Wowbagger86 Who is Blunty?!?!

  • @AceOfTricks007 The interviewer, Blunty3000. I don't know his real name. I guess you mean you met Doug Jones then. Must have been great, where did you meet him?

  • @Wowbagger86 Yeah it was Doug Jones, I met him at a FuddRuckers in Burbank, CA!!!! I got a man hug from THE DOUG JONES!!!

  • Doug Jones rocks my socks off. Even though in most of his roles he's under heavy make-up and prosthetics, you can still tell it's him. He's amazing.

And he really does seem very personable, doesn't he? Like he could just sit down with and talk to you spontaneously, and you wouldn't even care that he's a stranger because he's so friendly and interesting.

  • you know something , this man can play the rule of the enlongated man very well or plastic man , realy dc comics should take him and think serisly

  • omigod, i love him.

  • DOUG JONES ROCKS !!!!

  • He sounds like such a people-person :) It would be damn funny to meet him in real life xD

  • D.J. is amazing in every role he plays. he can make a 1/2 ass movie one of the best.

BUT he just happens to be in some of the coolest movies in decades (Pan's Labrynth & Hellboy II)...plus a whole mix of others i used to see as a kid, lol like Hocus Pocus which i forgot about.

He is also EXTREMELY FRIENDLY. very outgoing and appreciative, very good guy.

  • abe sapien kicks ass!

  • This is a great interview- I like how he elaborate things with his voice and actions! Doug Jones as Abe Sapien rocks. Yes i think it will be nice to see him more without costumes seeing how quick he's able to do different facial expressions and being very animated. Thanks for sharing. XD

  • It's pronounced gil-YER-moh. :)

I enjoyed this interview. I know that an interview is good when after watching, i am left with a feeling like the interviewee and i are childhood buddies. Felt that here.

  • call me crazy but he could be a good riddler...

  • lol I've always wondered what he looks like.

  • Love Doug Jones, but what a terrible interview. The host is terrible

  • Actually Doug himself loved "the host" and the interview, and despite this being done over 9 months ago, he still remembers fondly this interview, and it's "host". ;P

  • thats too much HOST in one comment loooool

  • @Blunty3000 Love your work Nate! You sir are a brilliant interviewer and critic!

  • Gaah, I got to meet him. ^_^ It was amazing.

  • kinestically talented

  • DOUG JONES!

  • His voice just sounds intelligent lol hes perfect for Abe =P

  • hahaha! His Guillermo Del Toro voice is so perfect! I love Doug Jones....

  • can u please tell me is there going to be a 3 of hellboy because i love to see ABE ,,,,...he is so sexy heheheh...lol

  • God, I love Doug Jones.

  • "I will take that dump." LOL. Love him.

  • As amazing as Doug Jones is, I would love to see him act WITHOUT a Face-covering costume! his facial expressions are priceless, he would be great for regular acting too!

  • He's going to be in a movie without prosthetics in the title role! 'My Name is Jerry' is supposed to be coming out in October, and he plays Jerry. I personally can't wait.

  • No way! That's so cool! what's it about?

  • Mimes =/= evil

    Clowns = Evil

  • No probably it's the style

  • Is that paint splattered all over his shirt?

  • paint? guess again.

    /immaturity

    im sorry.

  • you dirty child1 LOL! jk!

  • wooow yes! Doug is really a genius! justLOL

  • Doug is inspiring. I'd love to see him in a film with Johnny Depp.

  • ahh! me 2!!!!

  • First of all, thank you for sharing this with us. It was a very good interview with a very lovable and interesting man.

Secondly while I'd see Mr.Jones as Frankenstein's monster, I think it would be much more fitting for him to play The Phantom of the Opera in a version of Gaston Leroux's. It would give him so much more to do!

Again, thanks for posting this. :)

  • I have to agree with you. He'd play a very good Erik.

  • He's so much fun to watch!

    :D

    I <3 Doug Jones

  • i actually know this guy

and he's amazing he's such a good actor and so unappreciated

    love you doug,

    -zack

  • great actor great film

  • i love Abe, especially in the second movie because he had a much bigger role. Doug seems like such a sweet man.

  • i know! I'd love to meet him!

  • get in line,lol!

  • I met him at Melbourne armageddon comic con, I payed like 20 bucks to get his autograph and when I met him he was so greatful and charming and I asked him for a hug which did , I felt a little homosexual, he was great, as I walked off he noticed I was wearing my jeans with the arse cheeks cut out and he asked me which character I was meant to be , I just told him I had gas and he laughed so hard he choked .

    great guy .

  • god he is so cute

  • hes so cool mi sis loves him. she think hes cute and freaky. she relly loves hellboy and hellboy 2 ist all she talks about (rock on) =)

  • Doug is a genius!! XD And del Toro is such a quote master!!

  • Don't dye your hair. Salt and Pepper is so, SO sexy. I do not watch your vids for the content dude.

  • This video is awesome! Check out Randall Cooksey's Zombie-O-Rama from CNN on YouTube. FDA WARNING: VERY TERRIFYING!! Legend has it he used dead people and unspeakable swamp mojo!!

  • Lol he makes me feel uncomfortable xD

    Hes so wierd :P

  • hee great to know he went to school close to where i live!

  • I can definitely see him in the Hobbit playing one of the trolls that turn to stone.

  • I think Abe is so cute in the movies-Doug's a great actor.

  • Doug Jones is a funny guy.

  • love him! great guy

  • Very expressive hands...

  • An excellent interview, wonderful movie, great cast for all the Hellboy movies.

  • A mime is a terrible thing to waste.:P

  • l kinda wonder lf there 4 years later there going tobe 3th of Hellboy?

  • This is such an awesome interview. It's actually more like a casual chat...And Doug Jones seems like a really, really nice guy! (And great actor to boot. Pale Man *shudder*)

  • Very good interview. Doug Jones is so talented!

  • you suck at kissing you screwed it up retard!

  • hes very gesticulated. lol

  • idk but i think he can be the next joker(dont flame me) just look at how into he gets in his roles and makes em flow so well hes a very good actor.

  • Yeah man, I totally agree. Good observation

  • he wouldnt fit him tbh, hes a good actor and such but i cant see him as it, he isnt the right build/look.

  • omg ur so right!!!

  • he's so flexible. gosh!

  • ur the dork bicth

  • WHAT A BUNCH OF DORKS

  • Frankestein played by Doug Jones? Mhhhhh that's gonna be very Interesting.

  • it'd be a frankenstien monster very very similar to the one portrayed in shelly's original novel

  • Hellboy I = Craptastic 5/10

    Hellboy II = Fan-fricken-tastic 9/10

  • Lovely...

  • HOW CAN YOU UPLOAD FILM FROM 25 MINUTES

  • You can upload a film for any amount of time if your a youtube partner.

  • ow ok

  • Lovely interview. I've known Doug for years and he is a great guy, very expressive, and very happily married, by the way. Not gay ... just not afraid to express himself and really doesn't care what people think. One of the most decent beings on this earth.

  • Wow he really seems like a cool guy and was able to make this interview totally enjoyable to watch. Some interviews are just awkward to watch but I was laughing and actually learned quite a bit about different actors and Del Toro.

His gestures don't seem gay to me, but i'm a girl so maybe I can't tell if they're feminine, and height is always attractive in men ;).

  • Doug is a great actor, he is married but can't have any children for some reason, still he has the option to adopt one. And yea I have notice that he gestures and facial expressions are very femenine, is he gay? Maybe, still he's a cool actor.

  • There's a bit of difference between expressive and gay. He's a very expressive individual, not a homosexual individual.

  • i have to say, Doug Jones is one of my favoirte actors ever. its so much harder to act behind masks and latex yet hes often dpoing better than the real people! he seems really cool and down to earth too!

  • I know XD Hard to beleive that he's married.

  • HELLBOY 3: ATTACK OF THE MIMES!

  • XD LOL XD!

  • Pause at 6:10

  • he looks like a mime

  • he whas a mime years ago.

  • interesting

  • It's a shame that any chance of Hellboy III (roman numerals, yeah I know sequels) being made wont be confirmed until after 2012, since Del Toro is currently stuck in Middle Earth/New Zealand. It'll be interesting to see where the story leads...well thats my opinion anyway.

  • i liked hellboy 1, but i didn't like the end that much. But i really liked HELLBOY 2, it was better than the first in every way.

  • I want to see Hellboy now. Very interesting person.

  • haha i like his mime actions lol

  • Wow, I've been hesitant to accept the new Blunty stuff, but dang, this interview was freaking great! I'm sold. ;P

~An old school fan (from the hat, cigarette, long hair, and beard days)

  • it's funny how he is skinny but as Abe he has a hot body !!

  • it says that the dvd comes out end of december but i already rented it a while ago..

  • in AUSTRALIA.

  • ooo! my bad dude.

  • Then I suggest that "anyone" be you smartass... think of the cash and fame you could make. Otherwise, stop trolling.

  • Really enjoyed watching this interview. Thank you.

  • seriously, was he flirting with blunty?

  • Hope this gets more views :( It was a really nice interview and it deserves more.

  • He's a really nice guy.

  • This is so f--en awesome, Blunty. You didn't have to work very hard in this interview, though, lol. He pretty much had lots to say. Having done documentaries myself, it's great when someone can have so much to offer like that, so congrats on that one! Thanks for bringing us Abe!

  • I must say Blunty, you actually a pretty good interviewer. Most of the time, the interviewer's questions always seem forced, and don't truly know what they're talking about. They research the material, but they dont know about it on a deeper level. You seem to be asking questions from your heart, and it makes it that much more enjoyable. Your seems more like chats rather than interviews. Spot on.

  • What a fantastic interview !!!I love Doug!

  • thats me favorite about blunty he actullys writes bk to his fans unlike some big names on youtube

  • who doesn't want to be mimiced. it's like steroids for your ego

  • Supanova, nice. Good Job.

  • At like 23:30 his laugh scared the shit outa me

  • lmao Oh my..

  • He seems reminiscent of Buster Keaton to me. I'm not sure why?

  • Ashamed to say I didn't know of this guy (I'm terrible at knowing the names of actors XP) but now I've seen this I realise every role of his I've seen I've loved. I mean, da-yum, Abe Sapien was the best thing about Hellboy and I loved EVERYTHING about Hellboy.

  • No need to be ashamed... the nature of most of what he does means you rarely get to see his real face on screen... Not even I knew his name from teh top of my head before I had this chance to meet him, but I was already a big fan of his work in several roles, so it was pretty fun and exciting to finally meet the man behind the mask of so many of my fave character roles. And now, heh, I'll never forget his name again, and will make every attempt to see everything he's in from here on out ;)

  • and there makeing the hobbit?,nice!

  • he seems like a nice guy

  • Abe's my hero in the Hellboy series.

And this actor is wonderful enigmatic... probably a kindred spirit to you, Blunty!

    hee hee

  • I really really really loved this interview.

I had no idea who dough jones was or how many movies he was in that i had seen.

and this interview really captured my attention. not just that he was animated, but he seemed like he really loved his work. like he's found his spot.

but also, props to you Blunty, you are a fantastic interviewer. have a way of getting your interviewee's to say things that aren't just fluff and show to sell their movie, but things that are actually really detailed.

  • BLUNTY, you are soo COOL! How do you get to meet all these cool people?

  • Oh, you are so lucky. Doug Jones is amazing isn't he, a real pleasure to talk to. I met him earlier this year in April. Even with him just talking it can be entertaining for hours, he was also really social and wanted to talk with everyone who came up.

Also, he's really light! I mean, it's kind of expected with his build but he asked us (my friend and I) to pick him up for one of the pictures we took and it was like lifting a bag of stuffing.

  • yeah, he's a great fella.

  • er...ok...? Hellboy 2 has been out on dvd since november.great interview though...

  • The Australian release...

  • blunty's talking about the australian release, not everything's american or wherever u are

  • Great interview! Jones is fascinating. I want to hang out with him for awhile.

  • This is a wonderful interview. I LOVE the long format!

  • He was a mime? Here? I can see why he would hate it.

  • man blunty you got connections (plus yur good on youtube 25min vid

  • i listened to that dude talking at armageddon in nz hes prety cool

  • Thanks for the video Nate.

  • well actaully the highest limit is 10:59

but ppl normally go down to like 10:05 to stay under the limit
