As said in the description and the video at the end, Crysis really, really, really hated FRAPs being run. What you don't see is the 2 seconds of smooth video, then 5 seconds of freezing, then another 2 seconds, so on ad nausem.

My PC is not the uber, and I was running it on Medium with FRAPs, which is a bit of a system hog.
