I wish they would just release a big album of all of their unreleased songs. I'd want to hear any new RHCP song I hadn't heard before regardless of what it was. And to be honest, even songs that aren't "good" enough to make their albums would still be better than the bulk of what we have today.
I never heard that song live...I think John still doesn´t care for that song. Apparently if they don´t all love a song it´s not played on stage (like what happened with the One Hot Minute tracks). I wonder if we´ll hear old stuff they didn´t play a lot in the last three tours now that Josh is there.
It was a great song, but the vocals did ruin it... not all of them, just the "Looka looka lika lika
Like you wanna get some" part. That destroyed the entire piece, so I completely see where John is coming from... and you know that's one of the reasons why he left the band.
Oh, I definitely agree. There were quite a few B-sides that just rape most of the songs on this album. "Save This Lady," "Mercy Mercy," "Funny Face," "Joe," "A Certain Someone."
@mussman717word Million Miles of Water wasnt too bad as well, and lately was alright i guess too, i really loved the chorus, verses were kinda alright. But for some reason they do that with a lot of albums, they leave out alot of great bsides that are better than a number of songs on the album
Oh it seems like theres some tension about the songs. It SEEMS like anthony and john are having like disagreements about the which songs end up on the album and which songs dont. Oh wellll lets hope theres going to be another album sometime soon.
i have fear of a black planet and it takes as nation of millions... and i was listening carefully to hear what it might be, but that makes much more sense!!! thankss!!
I love the vibe on this songm and to me it wouldn't feel out of place on something like Mother's Milk. Kinda shows all that people that complain about RHCP selling out that they still have their groove.
maybe john had something like 'million miles of water', 'lately', or 'out of range' in mind when he voted this song down...and if you are familiar with those songs, thats an easy assumption to make. They overpower storm in a teacup by a longshot. Still a good ass song.
i remember as soon as i got the record i went to school the next day and had 'tryna be a lady but youre walking like a saurkraut' stuck in my head all day. i was singing it and my friend overheard me and was like 'thats so cool'

There's another one. I had the same thoughts exactly, about 'Water' and the other albums.

HuckleberrySlim, I can tell your pretty familiar with the chili peppers stuff...but wasnt 'Out of Range' in the "By the Way" aura?
