it may be technologically outdated but for people like myself thats not about to or able to spend 400 or more for the ipad etc and the expensive apps to go with them. this pen is great I have had mine a few months now and would not trade it for nothing. its even easier to travel with just slide it in my pocket and move on rather than lugging around an expensive easily breakable electronic tablet. I love it and wish I had more than one.

This is cool but aready out dated, the I-Pad and other Tablet form laptops do the same thing with out the paper and has not only audio but video recording via webcam. Its also stupid in a way because why would you record writing when its manually hand writing on the notebook itself, isnt that a record. not only that but i lose a pen every week and I'll be mad if this ran out of ink.

Obviously the major drawback of this pen is the "special paper" needed for it to work. And that whole thing with his printer freezing at the end was just plain retarded excuse, it is obvious that your own printout of that paper will not work...

Lol, you obviously haven't been to college. Studying isn't just going through a textbook anymore. Often times the teacher will give you content briefly touched on or not even mentioned in the textbook and it is up to you to get them during a lecture. This pen helps alleviate some of the pressure that goes along with this.
