I will never forget the day we found out he was killed tragically in that plane crash. It makes me wonder why so many, staring with the Big Bopper and ending with Allyah, perished that way. I still miss them all. Mr. Redding was so 'one-of-a-kind'. Makes me a little teary to hear him.

In my quest to try to find out more and more about Otis and his music I just keep coming across all of these beautiful songs that he did without ever hearing them before. This one is truly beautiful. My favorite Christmas song for the rest of my life. I was only 2 years old when Otis was taken from us all, but now that I have grown up and can understand and appreciate all that this man did for us musically I will always cheerish ever piece of music that Otis did.

@HippieNiecey Mr. Redding was something. I saw him in person at the Regal Theater in Chicago. Awesome guy. His wife and daughter were on television a couple years back. Totally devoted still. Yes, he is someone to know more about. Still miss the man!
