  • Gorgeous song.

  • This is absolutley brilliant..it should have been a massive hit

  • Great track. !!!! Sandie was always excellent. a real 'made in Dagenham' girl :-)

  • The first time I heard this track was on tv. Possibly The Tube or similar. Harmonica on that occasion was Manfred Manns Paul Jones. Absolutely brilliant

  • Nice song. Have been a Sandie fan forever. Thanks for posting this. I wonder what she is doing now as this is now about 20 years old

  • Twenty years+ after her early hits (1968 -> 1988) and still fabulous, and still beautiful. I wonder how many 'XFactor-ites' will match that?

    Thanks for posting.

  • Very nice song.

  • she looks like siouxie sioux

  • It's the other way round -Sandie was first!

  • @professoricon in what sense??????

  • When I say album, I mean the vinyl, which I have.

The recent EMI reissue has Jeane and I Don't Owe You Anything, which may or may not feature Johnny on them.

  • Wow, I just found Sandie Shaw---She has been in the music business since the mid sixties and she is still a foxy lady, incredible and beautiful and what a wonderful voice she has... Wow

  • Is it Johnny Marr then?

It sounds like him on harmonica and guitar, but I've never been able to confirm it anywhere.

He did play on that album, I think.

  • The only track on the album Johnny's on is Hand in Glove.

The guitar work is Kevin Armstrong, the harmonica is Chrissie Hynde.

  • This is such a gorgeous song. I love her voice!

  • Sandie very brilliant. Con amor Bart

  • I always thought how could be this song sung by the original writer Morrissey.

Beatiful Sandie, anyway. And great Johnny Marr guitar as well.

  • This one isn't written by Morrissey. The writing credits are shown at the beginning of the video.

  • ooppss.. don't know why I remember that on the sandy album I bought Morrissey is written somewhere, so I took for granted was the writer of this song which is, by the way, very Smiths oriented.. isn't?

  • He wrote 'Please Help the Cause Against Loneliness' :] And I agree, the music (the harmonica mostly) and the lyrics are quite Smiths-ish.

  • SANDIE SHAW your nothing less than BRILLIANT!!

  • brillant song - brillant singer - i love sandie

  • Thanks for posting this, i had never seen this video before. I love Ms Shaw!!!

  • Nothing less than brilliant, indeed! And the new tracks on her website are excellent, too.
