The first time I heard this track was on tv. Possibly The Tube or similar. Harmonica on that occasion was Manfred Manns Paul Jones. Absolutely brilliant

He did play on that album, I think.

The guitar work is Kevin Armstrong, the harmonica is Chrissie Hynde.
