Regarding the Malaysian singer, could it be the Malaysian Wang Ching Yuen ? He sang (killed) this song into a terrible crying affair. I just can't stand the song the way it was sung by him which also contributed to my not touching it since the 60's.

But this song might be sung by Cheng Kum Cheong (鄭錦昌). The original singer sang more better than me for sure !! Thank you & GOD bless you !!
@WinstonHF Yes, 鄭錦昌 is much better but didn't he sing only in Cantonese? I don't have a good idea of his style of singing but he was a very popular singer those days. Is he still alive?May I hear the song?
