If stewart uses them, they are good enough for me. I tried the same one's he uses, and they were very good (Nike's). Then I tried BIONIC Golf gloves, and they were just enough better for me to take the plunge and buy them. MESSAGE TO DRUMMERS, BUY SOME GOLF GLOVES!!!!
Cool interview. He liked Hendrix & Cream. I admire Stewart's drumming. A good drummer puts his own character into the kit and like they say there are no two guitars players alike. Same goes for drums on a professional level. Some drummers we know it's them just by their character that they put into the kit. I like all the great drummer.
Stewart Copeland is who inspired me to become a drummer. the Regatta De Blanc CD should be owned by any drum enthusiast. Copeland IMO is one of the best if not the best rock drummers and technically is more of a jazz drummer. He has the cleanest, most solid snare stroke I've ever heard. His speed is incredible, and his rhythmic sophistication is out of this world. He can do virtually drum for any style of music out there.
Love the way Stewart plays drums. He was an influence on me as were many others. Stewart seems to become part of the kit. He puts character into every hot every beat and he is not only experienced in many ways but he has great chops and has fused a wonderful style together. Wayne
In all the Police's history there has never been a cover band in Australia. Seen pro bands on occasion do Sting tracks, but never ever THE POLICE. Could it be because of Copeland? This band sounds ok because of the skins . Any cover bands ever been?
@KranskiOz Probably because not only do you need a drummer who can do that stuff, but a singer that can cover Sting's voice, especially a bassist that can sing that range as well. Never mind Andy's guitar chord knowledge as well.
Man you hear him here and its like, yeah this guy is good, you then listen or watch the syncronicity tour, and wow, this guy had some freakin energy. By the way i was listening to this and was thinking this is so damn familiar, Guess what for all you gamers out there, this guy did the music for the spyro the dragon playstation video games!! He's cool
gia',mi chiedevo la stessa cosa...ma che ce fa o raiss insieme al batterista dei police ancora nn m'e' chiaro (ammesso che sia lui, anche la voce pero' sembra la sua!)
The vocalist is annoying.

They should've had Stewart on one of the Buddy Rich concerts. His approach would be a lot more interesting than Neil Peart.
