IMHO the K3 wins hands down, ithe signal is much easier to copy (ie. louder above the noise floor). Now try finding a much weaker almost inaudible signal, enable Dual Passband and make sure it has the APF feature enabled, now it blows away anything else..
Do not understand what does orestedmusic mean with " sounds better", of course it is a great radio, but signal is easy to decode on the Elecraft for me. I even use a lower side tone to help pull out the low signals from QSB and QRN. In this case, K3 is the winner. Milton NP4KT
