@Gshadow1000 It runs local from Astoria to 34th Street then Express during Weekdays to stop at 49th Street. Other times it begins at 57th Street and skips 49th.
@SportsFreakfrom94598 Yes, because the Q train runs to/from 57th Street during late nights & weekends only. On weekdays, the Q switches tracks between 34th and 42nd Streets because of the higher rider-ship at 49th Street and the fact that it runs to/from Astoria, Queens via the 60th Street Tunnel.
@SportsFreakfrom94598 thank you 4 including that, the Q trains are so less likely on service on those tracks, should they put the N on them just saying, it would be an idea if there was to be an overcrowding
I rode an R160 Q via the R line this Friday and saw a Coney Island bound train saying BROADWAY EXP/ASTORIA EXP/CONEY ISLAND...idk where the Astoria exp came drom,lol...then the Q i was on the guy that says STAND CLEAR OF THE CLOSING DOORS....actually said "THIS IS A QUEENS BOUND Q TRAIN THE OTHER R LINE" at Whitehall to City Hall
@pelham1231000 thats because there was a brooklyn bound R160 leaving the station at the same time. but i know what you mean it fooled me to and its pretty cool i wish the R46 had those same sounds
@captainbly200 believe it or not I love that stepping sound ...you can hear it also if the train is still far ! for example when the R 160 A is running over the Manhattan bridge and you are walking on the river edge ,down under FDR drive ! :)
aww i wish there were r68 and r68as :(

Are the middle express tracks at Times Square on the Broadway line even still functional?
