Masamune has grow a shit load since the first. from begin a spoiled little brat who would go it to battle recklessly to now wanting a land united by peace. I'm so proud lol.
@DarkAdonisVyers He also got fatter... probably because this series plays favorites and makes the ones they creators don't like into rediculous versions of themselves.
Honestly, of the two Masamune's, his sengoku version is more mature, more bad ass, and hotter. But samurai warriors masamune is cool too! A bit snobbier... and more cute than hot... I don't really play the game (samurai warriors), but my friend does so I know a bit about samurai warriors masamune... but I don't know if anyone else has noticed, him from game two to game three make it seem like he just went through "the change"... you know... puberty?
@topp121 I think I'm going to have to politely disagree with your assessment of Basara Masamune being more 'mature'. His story in SB3 revolves around him getting REVENGE like a child, and he does things because "they would be fun" and let him get into bigger fights. Musou (SW) Masamune actually worries about the state of his people, and the future of the country, and suffers the consequences of his actions. Sure, he may not be as badass, but he is more mature.
@panoruryu Holy mother of God- I never though of it that way. That's really... right.... I... I'm in shock. You are really good at analyzing characters. O.o I agree with you because all of your reasoning is so spot on. You my friend are amazing.
@panoruryu Is just so beautiful read this like the top comment... in other videos i read thing like "SB! Masamune is better cuz he's more badass/sexy hot/speak engrish/got six swords n SW!Masamune is pathetic" I don't care if in Basara he is more "badass", this Masamune is more realistic, his story mode in SW3 was great(and i love his real history)...is ok if they prefer SB, but I don't know why people love to bashing SW!Masamune calling him a inmature brat... they sounds like stupids fanboys.
@ZhaidART SW!Masamune also shows growth over the games he's been in. He started as an immature brat getting into fights in SW1, became a young, respectable leader who was willing to stand up against all other warlords (even under fear of getting beheaded by Hideyoshi) in SW2; and he actually has grown the most in SW3. He shows his insecurities (being called a coward), his nightmares (ordering the death of his father), his cleverness (tricking Kanbei), and his desire to protect his people.
I know this is more historically accurate and stuff, but I still miss the SW1 incarnation's endless badassery, what with his whole story being 'show up during major battles and kick the crap out of both sides'.
Members of a family called the Hatakeyama went to Masamune's father and tried to convince him to speak to his son about his conquests. His father said he had little to no power over him. In desperation, they took his father hostage to force Masamune's hand. Masamune's men caught up with the kidnappers and Masamune's father ordered them to shoot both him and the kidnappers to prevent him being used against his son.
I don't think Masamune was there but then again it makes for a better story.
@xXCocoHimeXx As far as we know, yep. The only difference is, Masamune might not have been the one to order the shooting, since the father might have been the one to order it. But the purpose was the same : the father didn't want to get in his sons way even if he disagreed with him. And knowing what we know of Masamune, he would probably have done it anyway if he didn't.
I don't understand why he calls for his dad in his dream. Oh wait that poor sap that is strangled... That's his dad? Someone explanes? I don't care if I just asked a dumb question or not. Just tell me already xD
@demonictwilight101 Because in the original Sengoku period Christianity was banned completely and Japanese Christians were persecuted by Ieyasu, but Masamune still respected it along with other cultures so yea. It's not blasphemy or anything, that's why he's my favorite Sengoku Daimyo =) He respected Christianity and allowed practice of it in his land, despite what Ieyasu had declared. He was the first one to successfully fund a voyage that led his people to different countries along with Rome
@MegamanEFG It was rumored that Masamune's daughter was secretly a Christian. Masamune himself also wrote letters to the Pope, though said letters were in the hopes that he would be sent guns.
why have to be CG
