@EliasBagley excuse me, I was mistaken. It's more like 50,000-100,000 or more off of a 9 volt battery. It's the Amperage that makes the big difference as far as whether or not it will harm you and to what extent.
@EliasBagley actually if I am not mistaken, a commercial stun gun available to the public advertises that it puts out 10,000+ volts.. they run off a 9 volt battery.
You do not have to have a 300v battery to get a 300v discharge, or even much higher. By lowering other factors like wattage, you can amplify voltage to extreme ammounts from a relatively low voltage battery.
@HilariousCrow Well... I don't think that can happen. The voltage you get is going to be limited by the battery you're using. I don't think you can get 300v without using a 300v battery. The voltage isn't the important part of a stungun though, it's the current.
@HilariousCrow its a capacitor that becomes charged up that is used for the flash, which needs a couple second, high voltage, burst of electricity, therefore, if u hook up a wire to the capacitor, that couple second, high voltage burst goes through the wire.
dam i made one and got a 300 volt shock twice. This is because once flash is active om my camera it dosent stop I had to use a light bulb and retake it apart mind you i have no rubber gloves.I hate kodak.
haha! yeah i was sitting in class once in grade school and dicking with a disposable camera and it shocked the fuck outta me!!! haha! no one believed me damnit! XD
Free energy has been here for a while ,But the Oil companies want these technologies unknown to the masses,Find a motor that needs no fuel or input at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,The revolution begins!
As a hobby I fart around with electronics. I made one out of a $4 Fuji camera and the little stinker only worked twice before overheating and self destructing. But as far as being called a "stun gun" it does below average in that area. It is more like an advanced version of the electric pen or joy buzzer. But be careful playing with large voltage capacitors there are some rare cases that can kill a person.
@EliasBagley and make sure u discharge the capacitor, just take a screwdriver with a plastic handle or something metal with rubber handle.. then itss be safe
this is complete bullshit...i have just ruined 5 cameras and wasted 15 dollars trying to make one of these and i followed this step by step.. it seems to work once for me and then it will not recharge...fuckin gay
don't spend money on the cameras. When you buy a disposable camera, you're paying for the ability to take pictures. Just go to walgreens (in US, or anywhere that develops disposable cameras) and ask them for some used disposable cameras. They'll give them to you for free usually. All you have to do is put 2 electrodes on each terminal of the flash unit. Don't mess with anything else unless you want it to be more powerful.
all you need is to add 2 wires poking out of the camera on each side of the flash bulb. The way this works is that when the button is pressed to charge the flash, the capacitor (big black cylinder) is charged by the battery. Normally, when you press the "take picture" button, the capacitor discharges, and the charge flows through the resistor, and it gives off light (the flash). What we're doing instead is attaching 2 wires on each side of the flash, so that if you touch them to something to
so that if you touch them to something conductive, the charge flows through that instead of the flash. To use again, just press the button to charge the camera gain.
There's some tabs on the side that you have to move before it can open. Or you can just break the case and make a different one, the only thing you need is the circuit board.
depends on the kind of camera you have, which depends on the battery you are using and the size of the capacitor. If you hook it up to a more powerful battery, for example, a 9volt, you can hook up a few capacitors in parallel and it will deliver more amps and volts.
that is a taser

how does a disposable camera overpower its voltage to....300v?

The Oil companies are trying their best to stop free energy ideas from spreading to common people.
We need to put an end to this corruption ,start generating your own electricity now.

I did this, not to shock people, but I opened the camera and I got a pretty nasty shock myself... I wasn't touching it though, screw driver :P

no, tasers are the projectile ones. Stun guns are the close range ones.
