I'm 56 and I know exactly what you mean about aging. I still feel like I'm 18 in many ways. Like they say, we have to grow older but we don't have to grow up.
I cried too when my two sons left home. Everything you say is true. Thats whats great about getting older, you wake up one day not caring what other people think! Just be happy. xo

I am Italian but I have a relative (a distant cousin of my father's) who lives in the US and she's 75. You probably won't believe it but she's a very beautiful lady, very active, very elegant and she's even sexy. So age is really just a number. There are a lot of unattractive 20 year-old girls and a lot of stunning-looking women in their 50-50-70's. Hugs.

Thank you so much for this vid! My mom is not "young" anymore but she is as girly, if not more, than I am and I am proud. I once had a friend tell me she didn't like that my mom wasn't "mom enough". Honestly, my mom is such a good mom that I think that she is sometimes too good. She dotes on her kids too much so we don't do any chores around the house (I'm starting to out of guilt) and solves all our problems. haha! I'm 42 with a 5 year old and a 4 year old. It's kind of different for us "older moms" because when our kids finally leave the house we'll be pretty darn old indeed! However, I firmly believe that even in our 60's we'll be ready for new adventures and interests once the kids are out of the house :)
Wow, I would actually love to get laundry detergent. I feel like we never get caught up on laundry! :-) The only tradition that we really have is that ever since we were together, we have gone to a Christmas Eve service. My husband is Jewish and I am Christian so it really shows his love for me that he will sacrifice one day out of his year to do something that makes me happy.

Most people my age can't afford those gorgeous brands!!! The kids have to be out of the house before I could afford those beautiful things. I look forward to it! LOL Don't ever feel bad for owning any of it!!!

This is really a FUN tradition and can't we ALL use more detergent more than a card? I also love to give my friends their Tide etc. on their Birthdays. I love this tradtion and hope more will use it. It's so FUN!

The laundry soap tradition is one of my absolute favorites. It's FUN to decide which kind of detergent to pick out instead of a fluffy card to send. We all love to give and get laundry soap. xoxox

I am laughing so hard at this video!!! I had my kids later.....I am 41 with a two year old and I when I think of them leaving I feel sick. After watching this and laughing.....it makes me have hope that maybe there is life for me even when they all leave me!!! :)

haha! I'm 42 with a 5 year old and a 4 year old. It's kind of different for us "older moms" because when our kids finally leave the house we'll be pretty darn old indeed! However, I firmly believe that even in our 60's we'll be ready for new adventures and interests once the kids are out of the house :)

Wow, I would actually love to get laundry detergent. I feel like we never get caught up on laundry! :-) The only tradition that we really have is that ever since we were together, we have gone to a Christmas Eve service. My husband is Jewish and I am Christian so it really shows his love for me that he will sacrifice one day out of his year to do something that makes me happy.

Hahha... I favorite this vid. I like how smart this tradition is. I think I will ask for some green washing detergent from now on, which is so expensive instead of a card next year. I also liked how encouraging this vid is for girls who are scared of the aging.

a vey belated happy birthday....i completley agree no matter if you are 5 or 90 everyone should celebrate life....like you are well done...i work with dying people so i do my best to celebrate each added day the lord gives me....i am 36 but have lost so many friends that did not even make it to 30 ..so yes everyday is a blessing and as you are doing just celebrate...well done
