Here's a hint: turn on realistic flight models and check the box that says Overspeed causes airplane damage. If you pull too many G's, then your screen starts to fade to black... pull more than the aircraft can handle and it'll break.

Nope because G suites were invented . At high g's they push your blood upwards to the brain so you don't pass out.

And by the way, G suits don't protect against G's like that. They only inflate and then protect your body from blacking out (going temporarily blind)in like 6 G's. You would risk passing out in a G suit somewhere around 10 G's. Any more than 11-12 you're dead. Cessna 154 was pulling like 13.

Yeah. Those are acceleration/deceleration G'. Now think about pulling positive G's (upwards pull). In that case, blood flow will eventually stop to your brain, and you'll die, mainly because you're actually manning the aircraft. You'll black out, then the aircraft will lose control, and you'll crash. In this case, blacking out means go unconscious.

1. Ramp launch is for harriers so they take-off slow (VTOL!!)

2. We have Typhoon now...

3. We only launch harrier and helicopters from carriers

4. Military power is enough for a launch unless have bombs 'n' missiles

5. F/A-18 won't do Mach 2 at 200feet in reality

Fact: you use half of your fuel when taking off from an american aircraft carrier. the british ones are more efficient in fuel because they take off on a slope and have no catapult because they have beter planes that the u.s. Try making the Hotol = mach 7.3 BAe

They use Afterburner just before the launch

and just after till they are up to climb speed, They are steam catapult launched.

also, FSX totally needs a third party sound pack developed for the F/A-18; the fly-by view always sounds like the plane is at idle, when it should be roaring.. a sonic boom sound when hitting mach 1+ would also be nice.

The smoke effect comes from what is suppose to be on-board smoke effect...I'm not sure of the specifics on the smoke... And you're right about the sound stuff... I was really hoping for a sonic boom but it doesn't exist (YET)... Thanks for the view and comment!!! :)
