yea i know i wanted to get the prime but it wasnt out yet at the time so i ended up getting the samsung galaxy tab 10.1 and its amazing but iam probally going to give this to my brother and get the prime or the i pad 3.

Damn! I love both the iPad 2 and the Asus Transformer Prime! The Asus has clearly better hardware and I love the keyboard. However, the iPad 2's apps and simplicity are amazing! Which one should I go for and why? :P

Check out Amazon and Best Buy every now and then because they constantly gain and lose shipments. I was lucky enough to get one from Amazon on Friday when they got some more. I believe Best Buy had some available that day as well but they quickly sold out and now they're currently not available again.

So After like 10 hours with dock is the tablet still near full charge if you want to use it on its own?

@Murrzeak Why yes, it is true. The GPS functionality works about as well as ass peelings. The tin can back plate shit is the cause of this problem. The Wifi is also slightly effected by this jizz inducing problem but is still manageable. This should not deter your decison to but a Asus Transformer Prime over an ipad 2 much because with all of the pros this device has it out weighs those small ass cons.

@maincourseistoocool Cheers mate. But as far as I'm concerned ASUS will release a slightly different model that will address this issues. They've been showing it on CES. It has a slightly revamped design. Anyway. I'm still postponing the idea of buying a tablet. Most of all because Android market can't offer much in terms of magazines and quality tablet apps. And buying an iPad?..Nah. I'll wait a bit more :)

your 100% correct there Hardware has never been an issue its always been the Software laying behind and yes correct Google needs to focus on there shitty OS and make utilitize the good hardware it has available to it. the only Failure in Andriod tablets is the OS everything else is good its all about the software not matter what hardware you have if the software is rubbish then you hardware is useless.

The problems - GPS wont work , Weak Wifi , bluetooth signal , backlight leak

@gmtt GPS works, but it is slower because of the metal. I haven't had any WiFi slowdowns or problems at all yet. Bluetooth is just fine. Backlight leak isn't any more prominent than any other tablet.
