Tommy hey man I don't really understand the whole muscle confusion idea. If there is only 12 dvds then how can you "change it up every 3 to 4 weeks"? Is there certain dvds your suppose to do only for three weeks then you move on to the others or what? Do you do all 12 in a row or what? I'm not putting down p90x I just want to understand it more, before i jump into it and do it wrong. If you can help explain it to me I would much obliged. Thanks man.
@tgodatyourmom yeah bro... I get what you are asking... yes, there is a rotation of the workouts, you do them in an organized order, and that order changes every 3 or 4 weeks...when you get the TRUE program it is sincerely a PROGRAM and a SYSTEM, it's not just 12 workouts... it's rotations, tracking sheets, nutritional guides, a PLAN that, if put into place brings RESULTS>.. if all you have is 12 workouts then you do NOT have the program... make sense??
Hey Tommy, I really hope you reply to this man...Im 20years old, 270lbs, and 6'1. Im not really "FAT" Im just a BIG Guy. I've always been athletic and strong, but I really want to lose weight, tone up, and get in better shape so I can be confident while taking my shirt off. I bought p90x, and Im getting ready to start it. I did the first video, Back and Shoulders and Ab Ripper X. I couldnt finish Ab Ripper X. if I keep at this, will I BE in Shape in 90 days? will I lose good weight? Plz answer!!
Thank you for this. I'm in the military and on the verge of being kicked out for overweight and I just can't let that happen for the sake of my wife. I had the exact same view of this program as you did to where you look at these people and think that there's no way it's possible for the bigger guys. Your video has given me hope and is the deciding factor to start P90X, so thank you.
@TommyMygrant You're giving me hope. I weighed 375 when I first started 2 months ago. I'm down to 335. Situps, pushups, and cardio are killing me. Any pointers? Thanks for givin' me hope brother!!
can anyone help me? i've just finished my 90 days and im loving the results, but now i don't know what to do? do i repeat the whole programme? do i stick to the nutrition programme? do i start at certain phases? if anyone is in my situation or has been where i am and can help then that would be great!
@spartan130582 u can do p90 x again for a complete round or order the p90 x one on ones on amazon.com OR p90x 2 is being released in the Fall so u can wait for that... good luck.
@spartan130582 I think you should star over, but this time do the "doubles". It would bring even more results. Tommy did what he did in more than a year, like 15 months.
Inspiring video man! I'm 379 pounds, which is 9 pounds down from where I started P90x two days ago! LOL. I wont weigh every day, i was just curious so i checked. I couldn't do most of what they did on the videos, but I did my best my first two days and I LOVED it. I'm a walking talking body ache right now...but it feels great! I'm looking forward to shoulders and arms tonight!!
Thanks man, your an inspiration. Ive decided to take my life back into my own hands after gaining almost 80 lbs through depression eating and living with it for 8 years. I borrowed the DVDs from a friend and watched through a bit and thought, "How the hell am I supposed to do this? All these people are in decent shape to begin with." Im 310 lbs at the moment (top was 325). Nice to see that someone that started like I did made it as far as you have. Keep up inspiring people Tommy! Thanks!
Amazing dude.... I really want to start P90X again, I've done it for 2 months and I got in crazy shape and got awesome results but then I had to quit doing it for a couple of months because I was real busy but now that I've got some time I just can't seem to find the strength to get up this frigging chair and press play.
Any tips on getting my motivation up?
Thanks a bunch dude, you're a true inspiration and your transformation was purely amazing.
Hey Tommy you really inspired me man. i started at 266 lbs and by day thirty I was down 20.5 lbs! I was just wondering what was your starting weight. Thanx
Hi Tommy, fantastic job! I have a question about the supplements. I heard shakeology is phenomenal when it comes to losing fat, but the thing is I don't think I can afford it. I'm a college student and cannot really afford to spend that kind of money (I borrowed the DVDs from a friend). I really do want to get in the best shape of my life, but I want to reduce the cost to a minimum. I do have protein powders, vitamins, etc for suppliments. Would this still get be great results? Thx so much. =)
I was just as big as you if not bigger before i started insanity.. almost one year and a couple of rounds later im down to 220 EVERYONE notices when i walk the room and i lost weight lol its flattering as hell. lookin to start p90x as soon as i finish this round of insanity in 2 1/2 weeks. just turned 22 and i haven't been in this great of shape since freshman year of high school, even better shape actually. decided p90x while i wait for Asylum lol
@Blu3ManiC That's completely awesome man :P) congrats on your success and no doubt that you can rock the X.. can't wait for asylum to come out either. Actually, Shaun T is doing a live event in Ohio this week that I, and some other coaches, am hosting. Have you thought about the coach thing? with your results you should definately consider. I'm gonna send you some info on it :)
@TommyMygrant Hey I know this might be on the end of the opposite but what do you suggest for a person whos trying to gain muscle mass? Cause i have high metabolism and i hate it and I'm really trying to pack on some mass.
@TommyMygrant You are the man TOMMY!!! You Inspired me Bro!, I lost 40lb because of you! I cut out Dairy, soy and Gluten! and feel great, and do P90X everyday!!!
@PretAPapier I followed the nutrition BUT I modified the calories down from what was suggested and averaged around a 2,000 calorie intake during my weight loss. I would bounce from phase I low carb to Phase II well balanced, if I plateud I'd go back to phase I.. never went to the high carb phase III intake.. does that help?
hey man me and my best friend are about to start the program do you have any advise for me. .p.s. im 16 yrs old about 285lbs and about 6'3.any help would be great.
@alex12wable same advice that Tony gives you.. all you have to do is buy into these two concepts "Do your Best and forget the rest" and "keep showing up man, keep pushing play"..
@ThePlayboii88 Awesome brother... you can so rock this... Do you have a coach yet? if not I'd love to get you added to my team.. Message and and I can give you details on how... cool?
i wanna thank you for your video...i am also 320lbs....and a diabetic.....i tried p90x last year for 2 months and did well but gave up due to a set back....ive been trying to get the motivation to start again and you have helped me ....its nice to see the transformation from others who are close to where i am.....gives me hope..
@13thehulk yeah brother... that rocks that you are taking control.. if you are diabetic you should check out and use Shakeology, it's a low glycemic meal replacement... message me and I can send you more info... would love to be your coach and friend throughout your journey...
i am 23 yrs old. 5ft 9 around 200 pounds. this was an inspiration to me bro. been overweight by whole life. just got the X in the mail. did the chest and back workout. I AM ON MY WAY!!!!
Tommy, I can't do a single pushup or pullup but i still want to do P90X. Did you struggle with pushups/pullups also when you began? Should I still do P90X? Any advice? Thanks! You are inspiring man!
@chemlol dude... it took me MONTHS to do a pull up and like 4 months to complete all of Ab Ripper X.. just do your best, and anhything you do today is more than you did yesterday so you have to get better.. and yes, I still mix P90x in with INsanity and some other things... i'm just trying to enjoy my fitness, i do a p90x workout or Tony One on One workout at least 3 or 4 times a week still... dude, mesage me and let's get you going.. I'll be your coach.. cool?
Hi! when i saw this on the infomercial, this is what really inspired me to get p90x, I've had it for months now, and have been doing it "off" and "on" and wasn't motivated, but now I am disciplined in doing it and I'm in phase 2 right now, but the problem i have is eating healthy, can you be my coach? i really need to know what foods, drinks, or supplements i need on a daily basis that would also take away my mid-night cravings.
Hey tommy I really am inspired by your story, I just ordered it yesterday and im gonna do it. Is there any way you could kind of be my coach through this? I think it would be great to keep in touch with someone whos had such amazing results and success. Jaime
@jaimeluna1212 Hi Jaime. We can make that happen. Simply click on the link in the video description . click "join" and start an account and that will officially make me your coach you can choose a free or club account, whichever is best for you..
did u follow the deit plan? im thinking about buying it in the next week or so aannnnd im 5'6 and 184 pounds, it just doesnt look good and i want the best possible results so any suggestions? id like to make u a personal coach when i get it aswell ur results were astonishing
@tbear116 I followed the nutrition guide but cut back the calories from 3000 to 2000 for weight loss.. the nutrition plan is "performance" not "weight loss".. and I never did Phase 3 high carbs.. only phase I and 2 nutrition
@TommyMygrant man,,, sounds like the guide and program are confusiong to follow im kind of woried about it. so since my last comment i weight 179 now.. so the guide doesnt help lose weight?
@NatoAmp I did lean to start for the first round.. then did Classic.. don't be afraid of classic.. it's the muscle you build that will help you burn the fat.. MUSCLE BURNS FAT.. every lb of muscle burns 50 cals a day..
hey, when i saw you on the infomercial last night i thought id start looking into this since im 5 foot 8 and 250 pounds and i really really want to get in shape. couple of problems though. im poor, the $120 jsut to get the program is a lot for me, but i heard you need a lot more than just the DVD's. what all do i need and how much roughly would i be spending throughout the program? thanks.
@blazelmtdedtn totally understand.. the set of X is 120 and you need at least a few resistence bands, which adds like $40.. you could do the program with just that.. so like $160 to $170 total.... I can walk you through the process.. I'll send you a message and help you decide what's best and we can make me your official "coach".. cool?
I'm 250 lbs 5'11. I really just want to slim down i want to burn fat. I lost 4 lbs during that first week. What should I do to keep losing weight. Is there an alternative to shakeology? It's a little to expensive for me.
Question? im 6ft 200 lbs and on week 3 of my p90x i take that multivitamins but i dont want to loose weight maybe a little from my belly but will the is make muscle mass or just trim and ripped?
This is what I like to see. I have a 47 inch gut. Nothing like most people that you see who are already healthy and getting ripped on this system, but I had already decided to do the best that I can and to change things as needed. I don't expect massive results in 90 days.
Seeing something that's closer to home for me is inspirational.
@Talis29 right on Talis.. you go tthis, but it won't happen in 90 days.. you will lose 50 0or so in 90 days if you have a lot to lose.. and with shakeology you could lose more.. you have a coach yet??
hey tommy im hoping to get results like you soon :P but quick question looking on ur profile, did u only use whey, shakeology, multivitamin, and recovory drink the entire time?? im still focusing on fat loss, wich is great so far (301lbs to 220) but want to get jacked/ripped... im only on round 3 just wondering if you have any info/advice thnx :) p.s did u use creatine at all??
@saints39 I used Activit Metabolism multi-vitamin and slimming formula from Beachbody, Recovery drink, core Omega 3.. they didn't have shakeology at the time I was losing weight, if they did I would have used shakeology, recovery, and omega 3... Never used creatine.. never did doubles.. and -80 lbs is awesome man. you have to feel great :) we should get hooked up and officially connect through the company.. would love to have you on Team Swarm with me :)
@TommyMygrant alright thanx for the info man :) ill be posting my round 3 video when im done it and ill be sure to send u a copy man :) but thank you i pretty much use the same suppliments as you and i ordered shakeology 2 days ago :)
i just started p90x yesterday did plyo today how did u get through plyo the first time i got half way through and my legs could barly hold me up. how did you do it
Did p90x get you stronger like in bench pressing and stuff and how many push ups and pull ups can you do?? I'm 16 years old trying to get stronger with p90x I'm on day 79
You are the reason I bought p90x. I just started today, and I can't wait until I'm on my fourth, fifth and sixth round, and I look like you. From one fat guy to another, thanks for having the strength to do this and being able to show other fat people that it is possible. you look great.
1 question: did your skin tighten back up? I can't tell from the vid. that's the one thing I'm worried about.
@deutschtard so awesome bro :) excited for you. no doubt you can do this and you made a great choice.. stay course bro and keep finding a way to show up. Yes, I have some loose skin at the bottom of my stomach, a few stretch marks, etc etc.. I hide it well in my pics and I think "I'd rather be fit with some loose skin than fat and miserable or dead" :) trust me, you won't care as much once you get here :) I talk about loose skin in one of my Locker Room Talk videos. they are here and on FB
Wow.. Great Job,, I been lookin at videos and reviews on the P90x for a couple days and thinking seriously about it! I just don't have the motivation and I give up easily but after these past couple day and restless nights of wondering if I wanna live my life this way I KNOW it's time for a change! Thanks for the inspiration!
Tommy - you da man!!! Keep up the FANTASTIC work dude!!! I'll keep showing this to my friend's so it keeps inspiring them to KEEP PRESSING PLAY and achieving amazing results!!!
wow tommy, amazing results! You look amazing! I'm about 2 months into P90X and its great. I'm going to be making P90X a lifestyle as well, and do as many rounds as possible to get in the best shape of my life. I started P90X with around 14% body fat and 2 months in I'm around 9% now. Again, amazing results, and thats what happens when you bring it!
@tylerloool tyler that rocks bro :) dude.. 9% body fat is SICK :) in a very good way.. great job bro.. you should be a coach with me :) would love to add you to my team
@TommyMygrant thanks, I'll think about the coach thing. I just started my first year at university and I'm trying to get settled in with the work habbits and maintaining P90X most importantly xD. How do I join and what do I do? Just need to make sure I have the time is all haha
@tylerloool easy bro.. go to my beachodycoach website at it's listed on my youtube page down the left side.. click that and click "join" or "coach" and it explains.. if you have questions message me.. and yeah, best of luck at university.. are you not in the united states? where are you?
I plan on doing P90X once I get all the equipment necessary. My question is what modifications(Ex: Heavier Dumbbells) did you use while on P90X to get those results? Did you take any supplements like Creatine or Protein Shakes? and Did you do all 5 rounds one right after the other?
@tasichuck hey Tasi.. sorry for the delayed reply... Yes, I did the 5 rounds back to back.. took maybe a week off in between.. I modified the program down at first (lower reps, not much weight, shorter times, assisted pull ups, etc) and by the end I was modifying up (increased reps, longer times, using weighted vest for strength days, etc)... I took the activit metabolism and slimming formulas from beachbody along with the P90x Results and recover.. had shakeology been out I'd have used that.
@tasichuck Reply #2 ... I did use whey protein.. I took one or two whey shakes per day.. you can check out all the beachbody supps I used at my coachpage (listed on my profile) let's get you signed up so I'm your coach and I can help you rock out the program bro..
Started my P90X journey on August 23, 2010. Tomorrow is Kenpo X which I heard was real fun! My arms were really sore but now I am getting back to feeling better. I found yoga x very hard to balance myself. Any tips? Also did you do anything else besides P90X? I'm hoping I get down to my goal weight. I'm at 188 now & want to be at 150 by the end of this round. I'm already up for round two so I can get down to 125! :) WIsh me luck!!
Motivating man.... proof that guys like us who are overweight can do this program... Day 183 here :) thnx for motivation ive honestly watched this 4x....way to bring it, ill bring it to catch up to ur results.
Hey Tommy. I want to start p90x and had a few questions for you. 1)how well did you follow the nutrition plan? 2) Did you consume alcohol when on this program? I want to get really cut up and you seem to have done an amazing job with the program. I will cut drinking out if you did but if you drank please let me know how often. Thank you, looking forward to your responds!
@Tuddy239 yeah bro.. nutrition is key, it's 75% of the results.. you can not follow the nutrition, and you will be more fit in 90 days, you just won't look more fit. Progress requires sacrifice, so hang up the pizza, wings, and beer for a while.. give it all you've got bro.. i went months without it.. once you get to where you want to be you can "maintain" and have some drinks on occasion..
@radix100 giving up fast food is a must.. I suggest eating lean proteins, veggies, 1 piece of fruit a day, and limited amounts of dairy and whole grains as suggested in the p90x guide... my suggestion is learn to eat healthy food, multiple times a day.. but most definately get rid of fast food, pizza, chinese, and anything with the word "buffet"..
Tommy , Great job bro!! Keep it up .. Tell me, you must have had some bad knees like me when u started. and pullups must have been really tough right?
Tommy- after watching p90x infomercials countless times while recuperating from two surgeries recently, I have to say that of all the amazing transformations I saw, yours was and is the one that resonates with me the most. I have about 60 pounds to lose, and am determined to NOT let menopause become an excuse to totally let myself go! I am starting Power90 full on next week( this week has been a 'practice' week), and will keep your inspiring story in mind as I start my own journey. Thanks!
some idiot missed the like button. I love your transformation vid. I remember seeing the ad on tv one night and going HOLY SHIT! THAT'S THE GUY ON THE BEACH BODY HOMEPAGE!!
im only 13 so people might not wanna read this but i do wanna get ripped but whene i saw the cost like 40 dollers a month for like 9 months i think, is spending tht much money on p90x worth it?
Thank you for displaying the will power that so many of us lack. I've tried many times now to lose the weight, and I have never been so inspired. I'm 325lbs, and am just looking for a slim down...the muscles can come later. Your video shows us that it IS possible.
My fiancée and I are starting the program in the next week. I thank you again for sharing your success.
@linkmaster09 so awesome bro :) so glad you are starting the program.. I have no doubt you can and will succeed if you persevere (watch my perseverence video) .. heck, i'd love to be your coach and friend through your journey.. you down with that?
AWESOME, Tommy! You are the definition of inspiration! Love your honesty about your struggles, the time frame it took you (multiple rounds) and reinforcing that this is NOT a 90 day and you're done program. This IS life! A much better life! :) "Just Go Live!" ;)
how in the world did you ever lose your lower gut. I am not fat, never was, but I can't seem to be able to lose the lower pouch. It just wont firm up. Got any suggestions.
@batmen613 i got to a very low body fat %, which made it easy to hide loose skin in a photo, hence the pants and tight compression shorts. I do have loose skin, you can't lose 112 lbs and be perfect. I just hide it well.
Awesomeness!

I'll be your coach.. cool?

Hi! when i saw this on the infomercial, this is what really inspired me to get p90x, I've had it for months now, and have been doing it "off" and "on" and wasn't motivated, but now I am disciplined in doing it and I'm in phase 2 right now, but the problem i have is eating healthy, can you be my coach? i really need to know what foods, drinks, or supplements i need on a daily basis that would also take away my mid-night cravings.

did u follow the deit plan? im thinking about buying it in the next week or so aannnnd im 5'6 and 184 pounds, it just doesnt look good and i want the best possible results so any suggestions? id like to make u a personal coach when i get it aswell ur results were astonishing
tbear116 1 year ago
@tbear116 I followed the nutrition guide but cut back the calories from 3000 to 2000 for weight loss.. the nutrition plan is "performance" not "weight loss".. and I never did Phase 3 high carbs.. only phase I and 2 nutrition
TommyMygrant 1 year ago
@TommyMygrant man,,, sounds like the guide and program are confusiong to follow im kind of woried about it. so since my last comment i weight 179 now.. so the guide doesnt help lose weight?
tbear116 1 year ago
@NatoAmp I did lean to start for the first round.. then did Classic.. don't be afraid of classic.. it's the muscle you build that will help you burn the fat.. MUSCLE BURNS FAT.. every lb of muscle burns 50 cals a day..
TommyMygrant 1 year ago
hey, when i saw you on the infomercial last night i thought id start looking into this since im 5 foot 8 and 250 pounds and i really really want to get in shape. couple of problems though. im poor, the $120 jsut to get the program is a lot for me, but i heard you need a lot more than just the DVD's. what all do i need and how much roughly would i be spending throughout the program? thanks.
blazelmtdedtn 1 year ago

@TommyMygrant that would be great!! I really do need a coach asap!! so far so good but it will help me a lot.
Tiffanys190 1 year ago
This is what I like to see. I have a 47 inch gut. Nothing like most people that you see who are already healthy and getting ripped on this system, but I had already decided to do the best that I can and to change things as needed. I don't expect massive results in 90 days.
Seeing something that's closer to home for me is inspirational.
It should be delivered tomorrow.
Talis29 1 year ago
@Talis29 right on Talis.. you go tthis, but it won't happen in 90 days.. you will lose 50 0or so in 90 days if you have a lot to lose.. and with shakeology you could lose more.. you have a coach yet??

yovalockz123 1 year ago
hey tommy im hoping to get results like you soon :P but quick question looking on ur profile, did u only use whey, shakeology, multivitamin, and recovory drink the entire time?? im still focusing on fat loss, wich is great so far (301lbs to 220) but want to get jacked/ripped... im only on round 3 just wondering if you have any info/advice thnx :) p.s did u use creatine at all??
saints39 1 year ago
@saints39 I used Activit Metabolism multi-vitamin and slimming formula from Beachbody, Recovery drink, core Omega 3.. they didn't have shakeology at the time I was losing weight, if they did I would have used shakeology, recovery, and omega 3... Never used creatine.. never did doubles.. and -80 lbs is awesome man. you have to feel great :) we should get hooked up and officially connect through the company.. would love to have you on Team Swarm with me :)

yovalockz123 1 year ago
You are the reason I bought p90x. I just started today, and I can't wait until I'm on my fourth, fifth and sixth round, and I look like you. From one fat guy to another, thanks for having the strength to do this and being able to show other fat people that it is possible. you look great.
1 question: did your skin tighten back up? I can't tell from the vid. that's the one thing I'm worried about.
thanks man, seriously.

I'm going to be making P90X a lifestyle as well, and do as many rounds as possible to get in the best shape of my life. I started P90X with around 14% body fat and 2 months in I'm around 9% now. Again, amazing results, and thats what happens when you bring it!

I plan on doing P90X once I get all the equipment necessary. My question is what modifications(Ex: Heavier Dumbbells) did you use while on P90X to get those results? Did you take any supplements like Creatine or Protein Shakes? and Did you do all 5 rounds one right after the other?
tasichuck 1 year ago
@tasichuck hey Tasi.. sorry for the delayed reply... Yes, I did the 5 rounds back to back.. took maybe a week off in between.. I modified the program down at first (lower reps, not much weight, shorter times, assisted pull ups, etc) and by the end I was modifying up (increased reps, longer times, using weighted vest for strength days, etc)... I took the activit metabolism and slimming formulas from beachbody along with the P90x Results and recover.. had shakeology been out I'd have used that.
TommyMygrant 1 year ago
@tasichuck Reply #2 ... I did use whey protein.. I took one or two whey shakes per day.. you can check out all the beachbody supps I used at my coachpage (listed on my profile) let's get you signed up so I'm your coach and I can help you rock out the program bro..

Hey Tommy,
Started my P90X journey on August 23, 2010. :) WIsh me luck!!

saints39 1 year ago
Tuddy239 1 year ago
@Tuddy239 yeah bro.. nutrition is key, it's 75% of the results.. you can not follow the nutrition, and you will be more fit in 90 days, you just won't look more fit. Progress requires sacrifice, so hang up the pizza, wings, and beer for a while.. give it all you've got bro.. i went months without it.. once you get to where you want to be you can "maintain" and have some drinks on occasion..
TommyMygrant 1 year ago
@TommyMygrant hey man if i hang up the fast foods and only eat home cooked food will that be enough to get amazing results.
radix100 1 year ago
@radix100 giving up fast food is a must.. I suggest eating lean proteins, veggies, 1 piece of fruit a day, and limited amounts of dairy and whole grains as suggested in the p90x guide... my suggestion is learn to eat healthy food, multiple times a day.. but most definately get rid of fast food, pizza, chinese, and anything with the word "buffet"..

Thanks!

Tommy -
Thank you for displaying the will power that so many of us lack. I've tried many times now to lose the weight, and I have never been so inspired. I'm 325lbs, and am just looking for a slim down...the muscles can come later. Your video shows us that it IS possible.
My fiancée and I are starting the program in the next week. I thank you again for sharing your success.

batmen613 1 year ago
@batmen613 i got to a very low body fat %, which made it easy to hide loose skin in a photo, hence the pants and tight compression shorts. I do have loose skin, you can't lose 112 lbs and be perfect. I just hide it well.
