  • look at her hair it looks like a face at the side,,,was that meant to be that way?

  • sounded like barbara in her chest tone.... and a slight celine dion techniques

  • @narciebc yeaaaaaaa

  • God-dang, Linda! I forgot how high this concept album rendition was written! It's like stratospherically high!

  • Thank you for posting this! I am taking voice lessons, and all I have is the accompaniment for this song. This is perfect for me to practice with. Thank you!

  • does this jeckyll and hyde have anything to do with the jeckyl and hyde distortion pedal?

  • @josaurusrex It is based off of the book Jekyll and Hyde.

  • This is a great song! Love you Cosette!

  • gaar :0<3

  • We had to sing this in School for choir lol even since then I've been totally obsessed with the song!

  • hmmmm.....different version than the original but still very good. But its sounded a little shaky in the beginning with her vibrato

  • yayy we're doing this song in choir and i tried out for a solo, this song is very good

  • 1 person is single and very bitter about it.

  • does Dress Circle in london stock these CD's?

  • Can you send me this album? And the Complete Work and J&H: Resurrection if you have those? Just in mp3 format is fine.

  • Free replay button!!!

    One M0:00RE time!!!!

  • I know she's Linda Eder, but why did she have to change the original lyrics? I mean, she played Lucy on broadway, I know she knows what the words are.

  • @Akuchan7

This is from the original concept album (almost like a demo.) So the Broadway lyrics evolved from these, not the other way around.

  • @xxkewldudexx OH! That's pretty interesting. Thx :)

  • @Akuchan7

This is the original version written by Leslie Bricusse on the "concept" album in 1990, 7 years before the production was finally mounted on Broadway. This is why the lyrics are slightly different. This is looking back, the Bway lyrics are "hoping" for someone out there.

  • Omg I get to sing this as my final year's solo! So excited!

  • just got done playing both jekyll and hyde. if anyone has been in this, send me a message

  • the lyrics of the second verse are different from the versions i've heard before i think it makes the emotion more powerful with those lyrics. why do i now realise at the age of 34 that i'd like to be in musical theatre gggrrrrrr!!!

  • @thepurplepunk75

Hey, you could always just sing it. Look at Barbra Streisand, she's almost 70 at this point and she sings songs meant for women over half her age.

  • The first time I heard this song was when my old voice teacher was helping me pick pieces for my university audition. I've listened to so many different versions of the song, but she did the best version I've ever heard. I like this version and everything, but wow. I was impressed. She wasn't even trying! haha

  • I cry! î-î

  • So many secrets I've longed to share!

All I have needed is someone there, to help me see a world I've never seen before

A love to open every door, to set me free, so I can soar!

If someone like you found someone like me, then suddenly nothing would ever be the same!

There'd be a new way to live, a new life to love, if someone like you found me!

Oh, if someone like you found someone like me, then suddenly nothing would ever be the same!

My heart would take wing and I'd feel so alive!

  • i'll never forget you rachel </3

  • I still love you, Abigail.

    -John

  • i love this new version...love it soooooooooo much.

  • I'm auditioning for Lucy! This is the song I need to learn! SO PRETTY! Memorization memorization! Replay replay!

  • Did you get the part! i hope hope Lucy was the in your soul to give you wings and to soar!

  • Thanks so much! I didn't get it unfortunately, but my friend Ellie did. According to my choir teacher, it was the best she's heard me sing though! ^^ Ellie takes voice lessons from the same person I do, so it wasn't a complete loss. I'm in the Upper Class Ensemble and have a solo in the Facade Reprise. It's somewhat ironic that our voice teacher sang with Linda Eder in the past! :D Anyway, Ellie and I are still friends and we're looking foward to an amazing spring musical!

  • @Seagazer81892 My too! I'm auditioning at community theater. But I already know this song by heart. :x

  • Thanks for this, I'm singing this as part of a Jekyll and Hyde Medley in a Choir, so I need to learn the lyrics!! xoxo

  • this is sucha beautiful version. It is so uplifting!

  • God but this is good!!!!

  • Think this version is actually superior to the original cast recording I had picked up. Like the hope in this version.

  • i love this Cd's version of this song. When I saw the musical the words were changed. I like these words better.

  • Do you have Good and Evil? I love this song!

  • I'm Sorry its not on this recording but I can post it from the OBC on my new J&H Recordings Account Just look for an account called HydeCorner

  • I saw her live a couple weeks ago, and she's fantastic!

  • Yes, many thanks for posting these. Great stuff!

  • Thank you for posting all these Jekyll and Hyde vids!
