The original was built by 15 guys who lived at the Chicago factory so they could get it done in time(40 days) for the Bendix Trophy Race of 1931,two different engines were used a direct drive and a gear drive and 2 different cowls. I have compared many old photos and numerous changes were made that no written documents mention. nice R/C please update us -is it still flying or did it meet the same fate as most early 30's pylon racers?

Your glider is definitely WHOPPIN fast - but then it wasn't designed in 1931! This is a "scale" model, ding dong.
